    Down goes Uruguay.

I'm in the lead - on the plus side a got a bunch of pts I didn't expect from low level teams, on the downside they are eliminated. Koller and Pigge look like they have the least 'unexpected' eliminations. Somebody that is good at this sort of thing do the scenarios after round 1.

When the expectations are so low, you cant possibly lose.

Unfortunately I didn't get to watch any of the Cameroon game, but I assume it's similar to France and Portugal resting a bunch of players and losing. Absolutely incredible that no team won all three games in the group.

By now we shouldn't be surprised if Senegal and Japan play in the final and Jar wins.

Soccer would be better with a smaller field
    Maybe less players
Like 3 attackers, 2 defenders and a goalie
Maybe give them sticks and make the ball smaller and flat
    Put it all on ice
    Let them fight

    Then i would watch

Groundhog Day, US soccer fans go back into the hole for four years, I stick around while the contest is still interesting.

I don't know the actual stats, but to my eyes, US offense looks a little better than the old days - defense looked like hot garbage at critical times in this one.

Goot and Afro back in the lead, at the same time that Goot and Afro lose US from their list. I've got 10 guys out of 13 still with a chance to win this, with Moden needing particularly wacky results.

Pulisic needed to score his chance, defense switched off too much. Wright needs to score when gifted a goal and not need to score with that zardes-esque slop goal he did get. US needs to find a goal scorer by 2026. I’ll hold out hope for Dike

Love our midfield. Turner is a strong goalie.
