Boicey's team wasn't as bad as it seemed. I won't make the playoffs but after 54 games we are almost half way to my goal of winning 60 games this season.
The number of games I've won by one run, is as shocking as it is unsustainable.

In this new era, am i supposed to trust that hatcher is better than his scouting? Or maybe strickland is worse? I guess it could be both, plus maybe my defense is better. (Edit: my defense is better, especially the middle infield) Its normally not one single thing, but their ratings are starkly different and their stats are kinda similar

hatcher is probably underscouted. he's also been really good with runners in scoring position, probably unsustainably so. His OPS against is a bit worse. Without looking at all, I'm guessing Redding has worse defense. My guess is that if I did a deeper dive, the gap would be wider than it appears. But agreed that the guy with the 91 overall shouldn't be this close to the guy with the 69 overall - so something's not 100% accurate, somewhere.
Oh the 2149 draft. Happened right around when USB kicked in and screwed all the dev. Lots of them 1st rd picks havent even cracked the majors yet. Same with the 2148 draft, atleast for me anyways.
