Maybe next season people will feel more confident to add in more grades. Or maybe 12 is too many players!

In any case, here are the results with the votes I did get. I translated everyone into a letter grade (not the CSFBL letter scale) and also added in how much agreement/disagreement there was within the rankings:

Re: Crowdsourced 2151 Draft Review Thread

Across all players, if you give the 5 choices values of 1-5, the average crowd choice was a 3.07. So we did generally like picks on average. I might be overinflating things for the drama with my translated grades.

    Quick notes 1-12:

I'm guessing Hatcher's biggest source of disagreement probably came from people not sure whether to say that taking the #1 player with the #1 pick is just merely making the "right" pick or a "good" pick. The development situation is scary but the potentials are worth that risk.

I expected Preston to be more divisive, but people mostly agreed that he was not a fantastic pick. Personally, he looks like a the best hitter in the draft but also is a DH, maybe a 1B at best. And while the potentials are insane, 60 points away from max as a 20 y/o...that would have given me pause before the update. Currently he might not get halfway there. Very high risk high reward, and the crowd settled on too much risk.

C+ is basically "everyone gave him a Right Spot" grade and that describes Hill. Nothing much to report. He's not the hitter Preston could be but the defense is a nice plus, and the development is in a much better spot.

C- is basically "everyone gave him either Right Spot or Sub-par" grades and that describes Bennett. Seems harsh to me. Maybe a slightly better hitter and worse fielder than Hill, but equally strong development. In this world an A+ SL can't be easily discounted.

Holton is the first pick that got an array of opinions, generally settling on good value though.

Daniels got the same treatment as Hill, with a bit more range of opinions, ending up with a very average, uh, average.

Cooper was the most divisive player out of the bunch. His average ended up being very close to the middle, but there was plenty of disagreement as to whether he was taken too early or not early enough. He's also expensive, if anyone cares. He's also already up and trying to prove the haters wrong.

Hanson had some backers, but mostly got slammed. Poor ZubaZ. I think the development situation is not great, and he doesn't have the upside of some the earlier picks to justify that risk. Kind of a low floor low ceiling pick. As I said though, not everyone agreed.

If Hanson and Cooper got bad grades, it was probably because owners thought that Barlow should have gone in those spots instead. Maybe his pots don't scream ace but they're pretty solid, and but he's already well developed and could probably be in a rotation right now.

Campbell was the other very divisive player, I like him a lot but others disagreed. I think he's a solid 2-way player up the middle with a pretty high floor given his development.

I'm running out of steam. Ventura we generally liked, the question was whether we liked him a lot or just a little.

Rice basically in the same boat as a jack of all trades master of none pitcher - seems solid enough, and we all mostly agreed.

Re: Crowdsourced 2151 Draft Review Thread

Harlow with an A+ at #9 makes sense. I thought about him and holton at #1 (albeit briefly)

Definitely a better score than jack harlows newest album
