Team stats kept timing out on me, so the only other way I could figure to determine most wins in a season was to look at every team's "Seasons" page and sort by wins. Since I'm doing that, I'll do every teams record high wins season.

Washington Senators: 109 (1978, lost DCS)
Toronto Blue Jays (at the time, Cleveland Naps): 119 (1957, lost WS)
NY Yankees: 115 (1929, Won WS)
Detriot Tigers: 103 (twice, 2015 and 1922 (as TX Rangers), Won WS and lost DCS)
Boston Red Sox: 104 (1966, their only 100 win season, lost DCS)
Baltimore Orioles: 107 (1996, lost DCS)

So, 119 is the record, and 116 is the 3rd best, behind Buffalo's 117. It is the Padres team record.

Based on the results of all those team wins record seasons, it doesn't look good for me in the playoffs, lol. 10/27 teams best ever seasons ended in the DCS, compared to 9/27 winning the WS. Only 12/27 even made the WS.

It comes down to game 7 between Oakland and Pittsburgh. This will be Pittsburgh’s 3rd WS game 7 in the last 10 seasons. We’ve lost the last 2 game 7’s. Hoping for a reversal of fortune this season.

The risk paid off! After starting (and getting the win) in games #1, #3, and #6, Arsenault was sitting at 54/94, so I put all my other SP in the bulpen and threw him out there for game #7. He threw 5 innings of 1 hit baseball for the win! 4 starts and 4 wins for him in the series.
