Has the board discussed what changes we may have to the default settings coming on the 8th?
Also it isn't clear to me if scouting will be on or off because I don't understand what a "full allocation league" means. I may not be alone on that.

We are discussing it. We'll announce it soon, as we need to get it done before the changes happen.
As far as scouting, having it off means there is no scouting. We will all see the ratings the same like you do now. That doesn't mean a player won't play above or below those expected ratings, just that we see them as they are. Having scouting "on" means that we would go to the new scouting model where we won't see a player's true ratings when they are young. As they develop, it sounds like those ratings will normalize to show how good they really are.

The same in some limited circumstances.
With scouts off, you'll see your players' actuals with perfect accuracy, same as if you had 10 points of scouting today. Also with scouts off, you'll see everyone else's players' actuals with perfect accuracy, which is new. Same with free agents and players in the draft.
Also, with scouts off (or on), potentials are converted to letter grades representing a range of values. In this case all that scouts off does is guarantee that the letter accurately represents the range into which the true potential falls into.
Overall with scouts off I'd say there will be more change than sameness. What you get relative to scouts on is simply more certainty.

actually I misread what you posted. I thought you were asking what the new scouting means. A full allocation league is one that has full scouting for all teams, so we really are not. We haven't finalized yet, but we'll probably going with scouting off. That will be as close to current as possible. Then at some point we may put it to the league if we want to move to scouting on, which adds more mystery to a player's ratings when drafted.

Thanks. I think I understand perfectly now.
It looks like any future development would be going forward with the new scouting module in mind. IMO we need to be thinking about WHEN we will go with scouting on instead of IF we do.
Saw updates in the league threads, thanks for the information.
