    New Update League discussion

As other leagues are doing, I wanted to start a thread to open discussion on the new league update. Is there’s anything with the new update that that you’d like to see implemented in Diamond Legends?

(TyrusCobb, I hope I’m not stepping on toes and feel free to delete if you’d like.)

Something I think would be really cool is if we toggled between the two new Sim types every 10 (sim) years. It would provide a wrinkle to the league that I believe would be fun and could be a selling point to attract new league owners when we have vacancies.

glad the discussion has started! Looking at the changes that can be made midseason (to take effect next season), only new change looks to be the front office allocation.

Personally, I wouldn't want to change the rules every 10 years. Would make it hard to build a team with a longer term plan. That said, I'm in a few leagues, so having different settings could keep me entertained...

Would be interested in more folks weighing in. Seems like a lot of potential changes coming, may take us a few weeks to come to concensus.

Sorry for being AWOL. So Clone just sent an update on the upgrade implementation tomorrow. The defaults are as follows:

Scouting ON (scouting off means everyone gets 100% accurate ratings as I understand it)

Individual Potentials ON (alternative is summary potentials. Potentials will now be letters and not numbers in either case)

Sim ERA Classic CSFBL (options are Free Agency or Deadball Era)

Standard Draft Order ON (alternative is Lottery style draft)

    Salary Cap No Change.

I’m inclined at this point to just use default settings with the idea that we can discuss and vett changes going forward.

If you have a strong opinion on the default settings please let us know. Again sorry for not being more engaged in this monumental update for CSFBL!

Too many leagues I am in are pretty much pushing it back to the current game as much as possible which was disappointing. I'm in favor of as many changes as possible to shake things up and get people away from what they've been doing for years.

That’s a fair point. I do think change is good and I anticipate we’ll make changes here. But it seems like a reasonable approach to let it roll out, see what it looks like and then put it up for a vote to make future moves. Appreciate your feedback!
