    1986 Draft Recap

Some of you may be aware but I've been tinkering with my draft ranking stuff that I've done for a while now. I'm not going to go in to a ton of detail about it, but I evaluate based on potential ratings and at the position the player is on the draft list. I do not project development, evaluate age, or guess as to possible position changes. Below is some fun info for everyone to discuss.

    Top 10 Overall:
    1. 3B - Donald Lee (and it's really not that close)
    2. 2B - Thatch Hudson
    3. P - Gregory Hipple
    4. 3B - Randy Harmann
    5. 3B - Timothy Barnett
    6. RF - Emanuel Lehman
    7. SS - Shane Morrison
    8. P - Leon Roa
    9. P - Carlos Veiga
    10. 3B - David Edens

    Top 5 Pitchers:
    1. Gregory Hipple
    2. Leon Roa
    3. Carlos Veiga
    4. Craigoryco Chronister
    5. Zane Byington

    Top 5 Hitters:
    1. 3B - Donald Lee
    2. RF - Emanuel Lehman
    3. 2B - Daniel McKenna
    4. 2B - Lewis Do
    5. 3B - Randy Hermann

    Top 5 Defenders:
    1. 2B - Thatch Hudson
    2. C - Kevin McGregor
    3. 3B - Timothy Barnett

Shoot, forgot Edens was a 2B and I moved him as my pick was getting close to see what he would be at 3B. So bit of a projection there, oh well. Deal with it

Morrison was not the bpa, but we need defense in the worst way.

I was happy to get Lee at 2 even though I basically drafted him each of the previous two years as well. I will have plenty of hitting at the end of this build.

not a huge fan of my guy Micheal Hunt either, but I project him to be a platoon LF/RF guy and should do ok vs RHP

Roa turned out to have some weird undetected misscouts. Didn't change his overall B4 total, but did rearrange it a bit.

Hipple was tempting, but I ultimately went for the closer to ready guy.

What are you, a mind reader or something?

I really didn’t pay attention to the draft list until my pick, but I guess getting Barnett is a steal at 14. Should be a good all-around 3B for the Rockers.

Come on offense, need to pick it up if we have any chance of continuing our playoff streak!
