    Re: 2078 Season

Need to play .405 ball from here on out to reach 60. Been playing .418 for the last 79 games (following the 12-32 start), so there’s some hope, but it’s not going to be a season that I’m happy to have on my resume.

    Re: 2078 Season

The Swim Pigs only need to go 7-16 (.304) to reach the 60-win mark, so why am I still nervous? Well we have only played .308 ball inside of Blackbeard so far this year. Feels like I’m still just one bad streak away from calling this a disappointing first season in CarL.

Well, we hit 70. That was the goal. I sacrificed some value by trading away picks, but my overall lineup is looking pretty solid towards the future. We need pitching badly and had a couple deals fall through the past 2-3 seasons. But we'll keep trying to add SP where we can.

Port Royal still has some good pitching available. It looks worse right now because my 2B decided to decline early, and my CF is very old, but still.

Thanks, but I already got the one guy I liked off your staff earlier this year.

Big one-hitter from Marty Hack to edge the Swim Pigs closer to sixty. He lost the perfect game in the seventh and the no-hitter in the eighth, but he hung in there for win number fifty-six on the year.

    Re: 2078 Season

We did it! Win number sixty came with ten games to spare, so apparently I was worried for nothing, but I had some fun. This also marks our sixth four-game win streak of the season, and we’ll go for the elusive fifth straight win at 3 pm. Beat that!
