    2028 National League World Series

    The 2028 World Series is underway!

    Two time World Series Champs (1982 & 2023) Milwaukee Braves (Mattison) 86-74 vs Montreal Expos (Ravennod) 88-72, who won the Series in 1997.

    Who's gonna be the newest NL Champions?

    GAME 1 - Milwaukee Braves 6, Montreal Expos 1 -

    Milwaukee gets the 1st win by getting all their runs in the middle frames. The Braves break open a scoreless game with 2 runs in the top of the 4th Inning. 3B Russell Brown draws a one out walk and scores on a HR off the bat of 1B Carl Simons to go up 2-0.

    The Braves add another run in the 5th. C Bryan Gleason triples to right field and comes home on a single to right by CF Sheldon Lewis to make it 3-0.

    Milwaukee then blows it open in the top of the 6th. 3B Brown walks to open the inning and DH David Amaya singles to right and both players scored on a 3 run HR by LF Jerry Jones to close out the scoring and give the Braves a 6-0 lead.

    Montreal avoids a shutout with a lead off HR in the bottom of the 6th, but fails to score again in the game.

    LF Jerry Jones paced the Milwaukee hitting attack with 3 hits, a HR and 3 RBI's. CF Sheldon Lewis also had 3 hits, including a pair of Triples. C Patrick Alicia was the lone hitting star for Montreal with a pair of hits and a HR.

    Braves Starter James Scott goes the distance, striking out 6 Expos to earn the win and POTG honors. Montreal Starter Thomas Purdy takes the loss.

    Milwaukee leads the Best of 7 Series over Montreal, 1-0. Game Attendance was 76,518.

    GAME 2 - Milwaukee Braves 7, Montreal Expos 2 -

    Milwaukee wins Game 2 by blowing open a pitcher's duel with 5 runs in the top of the 9th and taking a 2-0 lead in the Series.

    The Braves open the scoring with a run in the top of the 2nd. SS Henry Chan delivers a 2 out HR to stake the Braves to a 1-0 early lead.

    The Expos tie it up in the bottom of the 4th on a lead off HR from 1B John Hilton.

    Milwaukee retakes the lead in the top of the 7th. 2B Willie Jurgensen draws a one out walk and promptly steals 2nd. CF Sheldon Lewis delivers a single to left field, scoring Jurgensen for a 2-1 lead.

    The Braves then remove all doubt with 5 runs in the 9th. RF James Curtis and C Bryan Gleason have back to back singles and then after 2 outs, SS Henry Chan delivers a single to center field plating Curtis for a 3-1 lead. 3B Russell Brown reaches on an error, scoring Gleason for a 4-1 advantage. DH David Amaya delivers a HR to score 3 more, making it a 7-1 game.

    The Expos deliver a run in the bottom of the 9th on a one out walk to CF Marcus Lacroix and a Jaime Steedham triples to make it 7-2, but they could not add another run.

    SS Henry Chan was the POTG with a pair of runs scored on 3 hits including a HR. C Bryan Gleason added a pair of hits for Milwaukee. RF Steedham had 3 hits for Montreal.

    Darren Harrison goes 8 Innings to get the victory for Milwaukee, while Expo's Starter John Chase took the loss.

    Milwaukee now leads the Best of 7 Series, 2 games to 0 over Montreal. Game Attendance was 76,368.

    GAME 3 - Montreal Expos 10, Milwaukee Braves 0 -

    Montreal finally gets a win on the strength of a suburb pitching effort and an explosive offense.

    The Expos open the scoring in the top of the 1st on back to back one out singles by CF Marcus Lacroix and 3B Brent Smith. RF Jaime Steedham then follows with a 3 run HR to give Montreal a 3-0 lead and the rout was on.
    Montreal adds 3 more runs in the 3rd when Steedham draws a walk and 1B John Hilton singles to center. PH Mario Mendez then delivers a 3 run blast to make it 6-0.

    A lead off walk to LF Albert Roesler begins the 4th Inning and Lacroix doubles to right. Another walk to 2B Daniel Green loads the bases and Hilton singles to score Roesler to make it 7-0 after 4 innings.

    The Expos close out the scoring in the 8th. Lacroix doubles to right and Smith draws a walk. 2B Green doubles to center scoring Lacroix. 1B Hilton then doubles to score Smith and Green making it 10-0 and end the scoring.

    Montreal Starter Kenneth Greenawalt pitches 6 shutout innings and strikes out 6 to earn the win. Reliever Frederick Wilson goes 3 innings in relief for the Save. Starter Clinton Pearson took the loss for the Braves.

    Expos RF Jaime Steedham was the POTG, scoring 2 runs and adding a HR and 3 RBI's. 1B John Hilton also added 3 hits and 3 RBI's and DH Mendez plated 3 runs with a HR. Milwaukee was paced by 2 hits games from RF James Curtis and 2B Willie Jurgensen.

    Milwaukee leads the Best of 7 Series, 2 games to 1 over Montreal. Game Attendance was 76,002.

    GAME 4 - Milwaukee Braves 12, Montreal Expos 8 -

    The Braves comeback with a win in Game 4 to take a big Series lead. Milwaukee opened the scoring in the 1st when 1B Carl Simons leads off with a single to right. RF James Curtis draws a one out walk. 2B Willie Jurgensen follows with a two out 3 run HR to put the Braves on top, 3-0.

    Milwaukee adds to their lead in the 2nd. 3B Russell Brown singles to center and promptly steals 2nd. A walk to Simons and a single to LF Jerry Jones scores Brown. RF Curtis then singles to left and Simons scores to make it a 5-0 lead for the Braves.

    Montreal then answers with 3 runs in the top of the 3rd. DH Mario Mendez leads off with a double and SS Richard Seeley follows with a HR to make it 5-2. LF Albert Roesler follows with a HR to cut the Milwaukee lead to 5-3 after 3 innings.

    The Expos get closer with a run in their half of the 4th. RF Jaime Stedham opens the frame with a solo HR to draw Montreal to within one at 5-4.

    The Braves get the run back, however, in the top of the 5th. 1B Simons leads off with a mammoth HR to up the score to 6-4.

    Montreal returns the favor in the bottom of the inning when CF Marcus LaCroix delivers a 2 out HR to get Montreal back to within a run at 6-5.

    But Milwaukee answers again with a lead off walk to CF Sheldon Lewis. A one out single to 3B Brown and a double to right by 1B Simons brings home Lewis and a 7-5 lead after 5 innings of play.

    The Expos then knot the score in the see-saw battle with a pair in the top of the 6th. After a quick two outs, 1B John Hilton coaxes a walk and 2B Daniel Green homers to make it 7-7.

    A Bryan Gleason HR in the bottom of puts Montreal up 8-7.

    But once again Montreal answers in the 7th to tie it at 8. LF Roesler singles to left and scores on a follow up double by CF LaCroix.

    The Braves end the scoring and put the game away in the bottom of the 8th, with back-to-back-to back singles to by RF James Curtis, C Bryan Gleason and 2B Willie Jurgensen loading the bases. With 2 outs, SS Henry Chan delivers a massive Grand Slam HR to give Milwaukee a 12-8 victory.

    Braves 1B Carl Simon garnered POTG honors with a line of 2 runs, 3 hits, an HR and 2 RBI's. C Bryan Gleason also added a 4 hit game. Montral was paced by 2 hit games from LF Albert Roesler and CF Marcus Lacroix.

    Blade McFee gets the win in relief for Milwaukee and Frederick Wilson is the loser for Montreal.

    Milwaukee now takes a Series lead of 3-1 over Montreal in the Best of 7 Series. Game Attendance was 75,702.

    GAME 5 - Montreal Expos 5, Milwaukee Braves 2 -

    Montreal stays alive with this win by opening the scoring in the top of the 3rd. SS Richard Seeley draws a one out base on balls. C Patrick Alicea then singles to center and LF Albert Roesler is hit by a pitch to load the bases. 3B Brent Smith draws a walk forcing in Seeley from third. RF Jaime Steedham follows with a single to center, scoring Alicea and Roesler and giving the Expos a 3-0 lead.

    The Expos then add a run in the 5th. CF Marcus LaCroix delivers a 2 out solo HR to make it 4-0.

    The Braves respond with 2 of their own in the bottom of the frame. Back-to-back lead off singles by CF Sheldon Lewis and SS Henry Chan is followed by 3B Russell Brown reaching on an error by Montreal SS Richard Seeley to load the bases. 1B Carl Simons singles to center scoring Lewis. LF Jerry Jones walks to reload the bases and score Chan to make it 4-2 after 5 innings.

    Montreal closes out the scoring with an 8th Inning HR by Steedham to make the final Montreal score and give Steedham POTG honors with a pair of hits, a HR and 3 RBI's. Montreal was paced by a 4 for 4 game by CF Sheldon Lewis.

    Thomas Purdy goes 7 innings and strikes out 6 for Montreal to earn the win. Reliever Eric Gendron gets a Hold and Closer John Puccio get the Save. Milwaukee Starter James Scott goes the distance but becomes the hard luck loser in the game.

    Milwaukee leads the Best of Seven Series over Montreal, 3-2. Game Attendance was 76,952.

    GAME 6 - Milwaukee Braves 4, Montreal Expos 1 -

    Milwaukee takes game 6 with a 3 run 2nd Inning, as 3B Russell Brown draws a one out base on balls. DH David Amaya delivers a single to center and with 2 outs LF Jerry Jones drives one into the seats for a 3-0 lead.

    Both teams play scoreless baseball until the top of the 6th Inning when CF Sheldon Lewis homers to put the Braves up 4-0.

    The Expos try to rally in the bottom of the 9th. 2B Daniel Green draws a walk and steals second. DH Mario Mendez drive a 2 out double to right, scoring Green. But the Montreal rally and game ends on a strikeout of SS Richard Seeley.

    Braves Starting Pitcher Darren Harrison tosses 8 and 2/3 innings, allowing just one run on 6 hits and striking out 5 Montreal hitters to get the win and earn POTG honors. Closer Chase Green pitches 1/3 of an inning to get the Save. Montreal Starter John Chase goes 8 innings, striking out 8 but takes the loss.

    LF Jerry Jones was the hitting star for Milwaukee, with a HR and 3 RBI's. DH David Amaya adds 2 hits in the game. SS Richard Seeley also had 2 hits for Montreal.

    Milwaukee wins the Best of 7 World Series over Montreal 4 games to 2. Game Attendance was 76,368.
