    Angels in Waiting

My Angels team is waiting for the flip as we will be cutting 4 players that have been with the team for quite sometime:

    1.) 1B Horace Graves https://www.csfbl.com/player/4855805/view 17 seasons with the Angels amassing 470 HR's, 1x AS and 2x GG winner

2.) LF James Diaz https://www.csfbl.com/player/4909782/view 11 seasons with the Angels hitting 206 HR's in 1,322 games played

3.) LF Richard Nielson https://www.csfbl.com/player/4895072/view 13 seasons with the Angels mostly as a backup

4.) RP Ernie Johnson https://www.csfbl.com/player/4996289/view 6 seasons with the Angels where the most he ever pitched was 35.1 IP

New Players to come up and take these roster spots (all from LM):

1.) 1B Ben Ray https://www.csfbl.com/player/5033631/view 23yo making $1,920,000 drafted 2nd round #31 overall will be starting 1B should be a solid fielder and I'd pencil him in for .255 BA with maybe 20 HRs

2.) SS Armando Duran https://www.csfbl.com/player/5041236/view 24yo making $2,511,000 drafted #3 overall in 2164. He will be my starting SS and I expect great fielding out of him along with a .300+ BA

3.) 3B Pancho Kelly https://www.csfbl.com/player/5025901/view 23yo making $2,341,000 drafted #17 overall in 2162. He will be my starting 3B and has good range and a solid arm. I expect a .275-.285 BA with 30-35 HR's as his slugging is his top attribute hitting wise but he's no slouch at DI, CN, and BA.

4.) SP Adan Campbell https://www.csfbl.com/player/5049052/view 24yo making $2,136,000 drafted #8 overall in 2165. He will be in the starting rotation and hoping to get 13-15 wins and 185-200 K's out of him.

Looking forward to a better 2167 season in Los Angeles for my Angels as it's been tough owning this team for 17 seasons now because the division has been so darn good. In 17 seasons I have only had 2 winning seasons and 1 playoff appearance where I lost 4 games to 0. Overall record in 17 seasons is 1,206-1,514.

Prediction: Angels go 78-82 but the youth starts to move this team in right direction (I hope).

    Re: Angels in Waiting

    So far:
1B Ben Ray is grossly under numbers predicted, he's young so I expect better seasons to come.
SS Armando Duran is a stud and will be for a long time.
3B Pancho Kelly as predicted has the power but needs to work a bit on BA and definitely some OBP but all-in-all I like the kid.
SP Adan Campbell is about where I thought he'd be in his rookie season.

    Re: Angels in Waiting

Just 9 more games to go and the Angels are making a run for it sitting currently in 3rd place at 82-69 8GB of first and 2.5GB of 2nd.

9 games left are 1 at home against 2nd place White Sox (85-67, 39-36 road), 4 at last place Texas (64-88, 29-47 home), 4 at 4th place Minnesota (69-82, 38-34 home).

As for the new players called up at the beginning of the season:

1B Ben Ray .257/.308/.423 with 15 HRs, 53 RBI, 66 R. He's right at the .255 prediction and 5 HR's under the prediction. Would like to see better OBP and maybe 10-15 points added to BA but hey he's hitting 9th in lineup.

    SS Armando Duran .354/.378/.520 with 18 HR, 71 RBI, 82 R. He's been sensational

3B Pancho Kelly .247/.310/.467 with 33 HR, 93 RBI, 73 R. He's under predicted .275-.285 BA but right at that 30-35 HR range. Would like to see better OBP but solid season for him.

SP Adan Campbell 12-9 3.76 ERA and 1.34 WHIP with 163 K's in 234.1 IP. He's right around predicted wins of 13-15 and K's are just a tad low from predicted one's of 185-200. I think he will do well though into the future.
