Lol. As far as I know, the draft list is 50% of your scouting, and so is looking at players on other teams. Should look the same, right? Besides, if he looks better with 50% scouting than with 100% scouting, then he'd look EVEN BETTER with 25% scouting.

...If a team is over the League Salary Cap, will they be allowed to draft under the new system?

Uh not anymore. If you have full scouting, it scouts players at 100% regardless of team, draft list, or free agent list. Miscouts not included, it will give actuals not potentials for those.

Other teams would see him with the exact same scouting (1/2 their normal scouting level). Because nothing has changed for the other teams. The player is still "not on their team".

Yes, you can draft if you are over the cap. The only hard limit is 20 players in low minors.

    Re: new draft rules

Brian with the auto selection, could we add a feature to make it so teams can select the algorithm used for an "auto", some examples

    "highest salary [pitcher|batter|any]"
    "lowest salary [pitcher|batter|any]"
    "highest ranked [pitcher|batter|any]"
    "youngest [pitcher|batter|any]"

Default would be highest salary. This would allow owners who go on vacations but used to file instructions with commissioners to replicate some of that behavior.

This can already be done manually, it shouldn't take more than a minute to just move all the available batter to the bottom of the list so you will get the highest salary pitcher. Then you can adjust by age or whatever if you want to. Let's not make the interface more complex just to make something that is already trivial take a few seconds less.

    Re: new draft rules

From e-mail telling me I’m on the clock:

“Be sure to update your team's draft list before the start of the next sim (in about 8 hours) to get the player you want!“

    8 hours isn’t accurate.
