    Re: Tournament of Champions questions

I'll wait for Perry to confirm the lottery numbers, but I think you have all been placed in the correct teams/divisions now. You'll see some extra guys in other conference for now, those are placeholders for the moment and not competing in your league. Also, I guess I hadn't written it anywhere but the leagues will be running 8 sims a day once draft is over!!

    Re: Tournament of Champions questions

Hi CC thanks for all your work on the behalf of the tourney. I have a couple minor questions that I haven't seen addressed anywhere.

    1) the draft says 24 rounds. How is the 25th player selected, is it a scrub?
    2) Are the drone teams populated by some default, snake-style order, or are they curated by someone?

    Thanks

Drone teams stay exactly like they are, they will be baaad but they will bite everybody every so often and piss them off, so you can’t totally take those games off. (One day, we’ll hopefully have the capacity to run drafts quicker to allow more owners, or run different size leagues without drone teams - for now eight humans/sixteen drones is the imperfect solution to making full draft manageable)

24 rounds just because of fairness in snake style draft, don’t want same guy starting first and last round. The 25th player will be 50k scrub.

question about the 25th, if your team has somebody *slightly* better than the others on the team, can we request to retain ownership of this less scrubby scrub as the 25th player ?

Leagues can decide how to fairly distribute the 50k scrubs, and if they can’t agree, we can do a lottery for those too I’m sure.

If a team’s result comes down to that guy, something has probably gone wrong.

    Re: Tournament of Champions questions

I had some questions on this and want to clarify - when I say full scouting I mean full scouting allocations for everyone, and they will see the exact same thing when looking at the free agent list (draft list). I did not intend for mentor level scouting, it is subtle difference but I think all of you champions should be accustomed to working with less than 100% omniscience.

Your teams currently have full scouting, you are seeing the free agent list like you will see it throughout the draft.

Another question as champions trying to suss out every little detail here. Someone asked about swapping draft positions, and I really don't want to go down that road. No trading extends includes not swapping draft positions - everybody leaving their negotiation skills at the door for this thing and playing with the hand that has been dealt to them.

I will send an email and PM to all later today, but everyone please recheck the draft lists in your leagues as they have been updated. There were many players not showing up that should have been, and their bus just arrived today.
