    2026 Season Thread

Well, Opening Day at home didn't exactly go as planned for the reigning champs. Fair to say that anything that could've gone wrong, went wrong. Hand it to the opposition though, the Rousers came out to play.

When you come to a fork in the road, take it.

    Ouch. 0-1 Benjamin B. vs S.Benjamin (PSFA1)

4-3(10) Took 1 in the 9th and 2 in the 10th to avoid 2nd wire to wire loss.

Parity continues to be pretty unreal right now. I'd like to thank everyone for not checking out. Usually someone would have dropped by now.

No doubt. Nice to see continued effort this sprint.

This seems to be another “even” year for me. Even though I got off to a fantastic start, and my run diff is pretty solid, my record lately has been mediocre and I can’t seem to gain any ground in the division. The odd number seasons have been much better for my team. With the fast start I’d hoped maybe I’d broken that pattern. Now that is in serious doubt.

For once Quilmes seems to be doing well so I'm hoping we can keep it up and finally make the playoffs. We've got a great pitching staff that is keeping us in games and I'm hopeful we'll have some bats coming through the LM next year.

Has been a fun season in Miesville again for the first time since taking the WS to 7 games in 2021. The top pair on the pitching staff have been as strong as ever, but now that the lineup is producing runs, the Mud Hens are struggling to get consistent performances out of the rest of the arms that have occupied the 3-5 spots. Miesville has an incredibly favorable schedule to accommodate starters on short rest 4 off days set between 3 sets of 3 game series against divisional opponents and will send Edgar Craig and Tracy Campbell to the mound 8 times in 11 games. Miesville squares off with Yukon for a 4 game stretch that could decide a playoff spot in the Boer.

Game 1 goes to Yukon, 5 to 1. Up 4.5 games with 6 to go.

    Re: 2026 Season Thread

My 2 big IFA signings haven’t exactly been lighting it up.

last year: SP Ronald Couch https://www.csfbl.com/player/5045005/view
    2 seasons. ERAs of 4.19 and 4.47. LWTS -13.

This year: LF Phillip Goldenberg. https://www.csfbl.com/player/5052145/view
1 year. .703 OPS (in only 96 games because as a lefty he platooned only against righties until I benched him for a while). -5.7 LWTS.

not sure I have anyone better to take their places, so in a way they’ve helped. But so very underwhelming.
