    2142 Trade Thread

I've got a great young hitter and a great young pitcher to deal.

    Re: 2142 Trade Thread

Gatlinburg could do a bit of buying and selling.

If I buy, I'd be looking for 3B, SS, CF. I understand what I'm offering likely only nets me guys that are aging and potential cuts due to salary. Assets to move if I buy:
Picks 3 and 27, plus my picks next year (would take a lot to get #3 or my 1st next year)
https://www.csfbl.com/player/4999167/view - 0 EXP OBP bat with serviceable glove
    https://www.csfbl.com/player/5021408/view - 0 EXP OF
https://www.csfbl.com/player/5021374/view - 0 EXP starter, the best of the bunch (former #14 overall pick)

If I sell, I would take offers on anyone, but the ones that would likely bring back the kind of value I want in combination or by themselves are below. I'm seeking first round picks or equivalent prospects, with a strong preference for picks inside the first 3 blocks.
https://www.csfbl.com/player/4963348/view - 30 YO low EN ace, only a slight dip in PO otherwise maxed
https://www.csfbl.com/player/4977567/view - 28 YO stud SL and RA corner OF bat
https://www.csfbl.com/player/4862008/view - 33 YO CO/SY SP, would combine with one of the two arms below for a single good pick/prospect
https://www.csfbl.com/player/4862054/view - 35 YO FI specialist, but very little decline
https://www.csfbl.com/player/4970448/view - 32 YO FI/SY guy, likely one year as a plus starter and then he's a strong BP arm

If I decide to buy a bit more heavily, I'd consider moving pick 3 if it netted me both players.

Minny has some veteran depth to move. looking for picks or 0 exp prospects or a veteran corner OF

    James Logan CL 36yo 2.280m 54 58 92 69 47en ratings (actuals, full scout) any 2nd will get him

    Jaime Taylor CF 38yo 2.925m 91 64 78 60 39 50 36 39 46 -5 actuals. any 2nd

    Ernesto Crowell SP 37yo 2.420m 30 51 47 99 57en would take a very early 2nd or combo him in a deal to get a 1st.

Harold Robinson RF 26yo 2.240m 62 66 88 57 42 51 85 31 94 -4 maxed his DI this flip, still adding CN. I think he is a career .750ops guy with a sub 2.5m salary and never needing a break type of player. not sexy, but steady.

Lawrence Cooper SS 34yo 802k 52 22 56 42 41 91 92 58 55 +4 has lost 1 pt in first four hitting stats (ba) and 1pt of RA from max. has survived retirement flips 3 years in a row. I doubt there will be another 91ra SS available this preseason, so it will take a 1st of some sort to get him. I also dont have an FOA reason to move him, so he can be a utility guy for me.

Also willing to deal one of these two SP. best offer on either is the move I make.

    Carl Burke SP 39yo 3.745m 54 63 82 96 64en actuals. points lost last flip: 3po 3fi 1co 0sy 3en

    Timothy Esparza SP 30yo 2.135m 86 36 62 86 71en all maxed but CO (65).

These guys are available too, but they arent hurting me so i dont need to move thm

    Manuel Rudd c

    Pat Reyes C

    Anthony Robertson cf

    Newton Warner P

    Samuel Watts p

    William Frank 2b

    Daniel Walker p

Join the Remake Leagues! No Experience Necessary.

    Simple Rules:

    1. Stop recruiting new owners for your half dead crappy leagues. Your efforts would be better used looking for a stable league with owners who actually care about their teams. Winning the world series in a half unowned league is not worthy of your time.

    2. If you are trading an elite item like a no1 overall pick or a superstud player, then dont take the first offer you get. Advertise your availability to the league to maximize your return. Your trade partner is not going to protect you from underselling yourself.

    3. Quoted from a thread about Monopoly gameplay: "This strategy will end up killing you in the long run. You WANT to make deals. You WANT to be easy to do business with. If players get the impression that you're always going to ask for unreasonable demands, they'll trade with other players, leaving you out of those trades, meaning you get nothing of value while they benefit. Remember, your goal in a trade should not be to screw your trading partner, but to screw anyone who isn't your trading partner. Then people will catch on and realize that if they're not going to give you fair rates, they're going to be left out in the cold, which means that you shouldn't be dealing with people who play that way either."

I’ll start the bidding at 1.18 for Cooper. I’m sure my Long friends will fall all over themselves to give you more.

    Re: 2142 Trade Thread

I could trade SS James Newton if I get a top 5 pick.

3B Eugene Reed - get desperate, Jar

LF Hilario Rader - 98 BA and not a rename

I don't mind keeping these guys and trying to win some games but if the market value is good, I'll listen.
