I tested Gary Cousar. He perfect-gamed me.

In remembrance of Donald Becker (30-1, 1.32) / Terry Knox (30-2, 1.79) in 1957, I decided to seize the moment today to move John Harvey (13-1, 1.59) forward in the rotation to battle Gary Cousar (13-0, 1.00) after taking the first two games of the series. I figured whoever scores 4 runs first wins… and YOLO, bcuz alphas don’t back down, amirite…

    He did this to me.

    66 pitches. All hail.

*EDIT: JK, I forgot that one HBP in the bottom of the third LOL but still yo*

Yeah, he's following up perhaps the most efficient season ever with... the most efficient season ever lol...

He's been ridiculous. Some incredible pitching this year. Holland isn't gonna beat Harvey or Cousar for the CY, but he is on a 13.7 K/9 ratio this year. Irving Clark had a 12.1 K/9 ratio in his league best 455 K year.

I can tell from this thread that my "2 good pitchers and a pile of HR's" strategy probably isn't going to go far in the playoffs.

Overall, it feels like a classic season from the Marco Watkins era lol… but you’re playing the lastplace role, with those insane offenses at FSU and ND… ya never know!

he's slumping. 2-2 in his last 4 games. giving up 10 runs, which is a lot for him it's about a third of the total runs he's given up all year. also in that stretch are back to back games giving up 3+ runs. and one more non-shut out will tie his record for the season.

Dang lol, it’s like he’s tryna let Harvey back into the race! 2-2 with a 2.50 in his last 6… lol. Granted 6 of the 11 ER were in a single game…

    Harvey’s sidekick Thad Williams just threw a 1-hit, 2-walk CG with 3 double plays… only 26 at-bats! lol

Had to get some revenge on the South region (Sorry, Texas!)
