It appears the mistake was made in the 1997 Roster Declaration thread where I counted the 1997 Graduates as 1997 seniors.
Ya, I was in a hurry when I made the scholarship count thread and just went by the number you had listed. Looks like you only really had 3 scholarships to give last year and got 4 players in round 2. Which 3 of those 4 do you want? The one you don't want and the guys you got from round 3, we will offer to the 2nd choice teams.

For some reason they have 38 on the roster, and they only signed 4 in round 3. Not sure where the discrepancy is exactly as I haven't found it yet but it might need to be two players from round 2.

Yeah there is a discrepancy somewhere. I've reassigned his 3rd rounders to the second-chance teams - UCLA, Arkansas, LSU, Cal have second-chancers to take into account. After I get some actual work done I will see if I can figure it out.

    Re: 1998 Roster Declarations

I don’t think there’s any way that I can legally get Arizona release P William Read into my LMs without calling up one of 5 position players prematurely and cutting my recent 73RA JR RF scrub, so I’m set here. I wish I’d known he was a 2nd chance option prior to the flip, but it appears that he would have been positionally incompatible regardless. I came into a terrible situation with 9 catchers, 4 scholarships in year 1, had to over-sign high schoolers to compensate, and this is just where we’re at now LOL.

FWIW, I think the other team in his Top 3 going into Rd 3 should get free agency priority... sort of gentleman’s agreement?

    California Golden Bears (CWS)
    Arlington Asymptotes (Spellcheck) 86.87.88.89.90.91.94.95
    Charleston Chew (NABF) 26.29.30.32.34
New York City Owls (DTL L34 t10)

    Re: 1998 Roster Declarations

I have already signed FA prior to reading the forum and seeing the mishap made on the scholarship count. Am I stuck at 32 or do I get an opportunity to sign P William Read and drop one of the 3 FA walk-ons I signed?

Miami was his other top 3 and will have priority then. If Miami doesn't want him, he'll be available as a walkon to any other team.
