I'm not sure this is a real idea, but just thinking aloud. We should do a season with a 50 million cap. It would be incredibly challenging, test our skills to the limit. But as a side effect, most of the players with out of control salaries would sit in free agency and their salaries would come down over time. That would be a partial fix.

I know its not going to gain much traction, but just wanted to share the idea.

I would vote yes to this as well. I think it would be fun.

i like the 50m idea, but the one thing about it that i don't like, is we'd spend all season monitoring FA for when the salaries go down.

More rounds in draft. Draft is even in the name of the league.

I think if the cap went down to 50mil we would have to have more rounds for sure. At least 20 rounds. Maybe even 22.

We do a full draft every year. That is the basis of our league. That is the only off limits rule, we always draft from scratch.

After that I kinda like the idea that we try new things every year or couple years. No league has ever been able to make fundamental rule changes like that before solely because it would screw up the teams. Since we aren't bound to that I think we should consider trying new things just because we can more than doing rule changes looking for the ideal and then leaving it stagnate.
