    2033 Season

Charleston and Kannapolis are neck-and-neck heading into the last series of the season. We just took 3 out of 4 in our last head-to-head matchup. Charleston still has a 0.5 game lead, but Kannapolis holds the tiebreaker.

These last two weeks have not been good for us. The RiverDogs are 5-8 in the last 13 games, including 2-6 against Kannapolis and Hagerstown.

Charleston still controls its own destiny but we would have to win both remaining games to clinch second place in the division. If we only win 1 of 2 we could still make it with a Kannapolis loss in their last game, but given the matchup that doesn't look likely.

Edit: And we're eliminated. Got crushed by Greensboro... our shortstop makes a 2-out error which then leads to 3 runs but we lose by 4 anyway so I guess it doesn't matter. The team actually over performed, I didn't think we would get to 90 wins this year... but yeah this is now 3 times in 5 years where we have 90+ wins and finish 3rd in the division. I'm glad our division is so competitive though. Good luck to Kannapolis, hard to say who's the favorite since Hagerstown finished in first place but Kannapolis has the big advantage in run differential.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but the Aaron Division does it again. A team in that division that wins 91 or 92 games is not going to make the playoffs.....again.

Just to heighten the suspense, the 6pm sim froze and didn't run. Greensboro is not going easy on Charleston, throwing P Richard Vargas in the next game, a quality pitcher.

Tight race in Aaron yet again. I'm feeling sorry for the 90 win teams that miss the playoffs these days.

Elsewhere the METS have an all-time team with a +300 run differential. Nothing record breaking on offense, and nothing record breaking pitching-wise, but it's rare in this league to see +300.

I think the playoffs should be the Mets to lose, but you always have to keep an eye out for whomever comes out of Aaron...and Albany.

The Mets are a scary team to have to face. If there's one weakness it's the infield defense, but so far that season it hasn't seemed to matter.

Tough luck EtaCar, that's a lot of 3rd place finishes with a great team. Going into the playoffs, I think Kannapolis has the better pitching staff overall, but Hagerstown is well-rested.

Yes, I think if they got a SS with better range, they would be one of the best teams I've ever seen.

Classic matchup between Hagerstown and Kannapolis. Respective ace, Thomason and Soule, going against each other. With Soule having a 79% season fatigue... We'll see!

The Suns don't have the same 1-2 punch anymore, as we cut veteran Steve Osby for salary issue before the season. This is gonna tough, but yet exciting!

    Re: 2033 Season

3 games have been concluded in each series, and the only thing that is clear is that nothing is clear yet. All series are 2-1, and 8 of the 12 games played have been decided by 1 run (and 2 others by 2 runs), and most of the games have been tense, low-scoring affairs. Looks more like hockey playoffs than baseball.

Well congrats to Macon -- they weren't the team that forgot to reset their rotation and as a result start a scrub in Game 7 -- that would be Albany.
