    Re: 1992 Season

Arkansas squeaked into the playoffs with an 80-80 record (-3 run differential). Special thanks to Texas for winning their final series with A&M which allowed me to sneak in on the final day of the season.

Taking on OU for the second year in a row. This year Game 1 we were up 8-2, FR pitcher Rutherford (who forgoed his GS in hope of leading us to the playoffs and beyond) was cruising. He was pulled to start the bottom of the 9th with a pitch count of 125, to only sit there and watch my, at times horrendous, bullpen give up 7 runs and lose. However, Game 2 saw SR Tory Brown come in and lead us to a 5-1 win. Brown typically my #1, was forced to pitch the last game of the season so we even had a chance at the playoffs. Cannot help but feel that game 1 loss will come back and bite us in the a$$. Pivotal Game 3 coming up.

Congrats to USC on winning the Divisional Round. Just too tough for my plucky bunch to overcome.

I would consider this to be a successful season for the Sun Devils. I lose some key contributors, and the pitching situation is unsettled, so it will be an uphill climb to make it back to the playoffs next season.

Good series! I keep being surprised by my USC team. I haven't recruited particularly well of late but we've consistently been able to win regardless. Our offense was really good all year, and we got enough good pitching from Grate and Sullivan and Hughes that we can just overpower teams. We've had minimal playoff success in the last few years, though, so hoping for a deep run.

Congrats to Oklahoma and good luck going forward. Make the South proud.

Yep, the blown lead in Game 1 cost us the series as we lost in 7.

Good luck to the teams still in series. Sadly, a 91W was not enough to make it !

Can't believe teams were still trying to run on Michael Darnell and his 93 AR this season. Also can't believe he didn't make AA with his nearly 50% CS rate.

Congrats on the WS title, Andrelton! USC was certainly on fire in the playoffs. 12-1.
