    Question about Free Agency

At one time when you went after a FA the game would look at a lot of
things like if a team was trying to sign a FA but did not have room in his
rotation he might choose another team for less money because he could
start for a different team. Is that still going on?

The reason I ask, I was trying to sign FA-SP-Stephen Eden.

My bid was $3,007,000. He signed to team Cobbs Terrible Beauties
    for $2,000,000.

I thought they did away with players signing for less when they went to
    blind bids for Free Agents.

Just wondering because if they sign for less I will approach FA different
and make sure I have room for that player.

I did need a SP as my #5 SP is not very good.

Anyway, was just wondering out loud.

Thank you for any answers I get.

    Re: Question about Free Agency

I’ve lost out on players as well with higher bids as well.
Sucks - but in some ways it’s nice that it isn’t solely based on $. As it states in the help pages there are multiple factors that influence a player’s decision, a teams winning percentage and/or if they are blocked by another player. I’ve also wondered if having claims on multiple players of the same position (P) can effect the decision as well.

Yea there’s definitely other considerations than the bid price. But wow I had no idea they would take a bid 50% less the the high bid.

    Re: Question about Free Agency

Thank you for the answers. We used to be able to see what each team
offered to the FA. Then they changed that so now you do NOT see what
other teams offer which I think is good for the game. But, when they made
that change I also thought they said they were changing the AI so it altered
it a bit for how it used to be. Probably wrong, but I will change a bit on how
I go after FA from now on.

Thank you again for the replies guys. Thank you!!!
