1992 SEL (now SHL) finals game 2 (Kennholt winner in OT)

I'm sure you all agree that was a classic. It wasn't enough in the end and the team had won three championships in a row before that so I should have been spoiled, but I still remember that one game winner as the most intensely satisfying.

Obviously the 1994 WC penalty shootout between Sweden and Romania was a highlight.

The penalty shootout against Canada in the Olympics earlier that year was also special. People actually remember Corey Hirsch thanks to that.

I’m a sucker for late inning baseball drama that I have lived through and non-HR variety is the best.

    Re: Favorite sports moments

peyton manning 80 yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage to beat alabama.

1999 Fiesta Bowl and the 1998 cfb season - ut/arkansas (stoerner fumble/stumble) ut/florida - missed fg in ot

Tee Martin sets record for consecutive completions v. south carolina

    ut/arkansas 6OT game

george bush throwing out first pitch at yankee stadium 2001

    yankees / dbacks ws 2001

i went to a minor league (Tennessee Smokies!) game once, going into the 10th. away team scores 3 runs in the top half, either bases loaded or runners on first and second, home team turns a triple play. home team scores 4 in the bottom half to win.

    im sure there is more

Buerhle perfect game w/ D Wise HR rob catch

2000 Ohio St @ Purdue (I was there): Brees to Seth Morales

last year’s elite 8 gm Purdue vs Virginia: greatest individual game I’ve ever seen from Carsen Edwards
