What exact stats would you expect? Take out all other factors. In a vacuum, what is his stats???

Nobody knows exactly. We all know: really good.

I would look for comparisions, about 10 players. Any private league history to get good estimate. retired, current players. Would have a really good idea of expected outcome in about 30 minutes of research.

It doesnt change the game play at all. Veteran players have a general idea of the individual value of each rating. There is always randomness and other individual factors that will always play a role that cannot be calculated.
It drastically changes the gameplay and certainly does simplify it. Currently you have to weigh the individual ratings on your own value system. If the game spit out a projected stat line, everyone would just scout based on that and there'd be little to no point in the actual ratings anymore.

But, not everyone values the same stats the same. Some like BA, some like OBP, some like OPS... and even some like LWTSHKQV...

    It doesn't change anything.

Here's my 2 cents: BA matters the most in OPS. Range matters the most in Defense. FI matters the most in pitching.
I agree with you on defense and pitching, for hitters though I'll take SL over BA any day.

    Re: Predicted stat generator...

If you want something done, you do it yourself.

I spent many hours extrapolating player data.... and have developed an excel spreadsheet that has a very complicated non-linear formula to determine what the expected stat line of a player would be given the big 4 ratings (DI-CN-BA-SL) AND a number of plate appearances...

I can estimate what it would be for BA/OBP/HR/BB/SO for any hitter.

    1) You must know his REAL ratings (10-scouting, or player retired)
    2) You have to give me plate appearances
