Disappointing rookie season for Fury. Pretty weak season and hit just 21 HRs. Will improve though.

Duane Durham (#21, 1998) - Should be capable, but low EN may limit him to BP. Getting a look at CL this season.

Faustino Brumbaugh (#48, 1996) - NOT good in a cup of coffee last year (10.93 ERA), but should have some ability with a 95/99 SY.

Frederick Garner (#18, 1996) - Promising fireballer, but will be limited by EN. Nice start (2 games, 14 IP, 2 ER)

Leon Arnold (#48, 1994) - Should be a decent BP arm, but not so far (7.20 ERA).
Forgot to mention Evan Roman, who I used as a platoon vs LHP (#29, 1996) - Did alright (.311/.364/.403/.768).

    Pringle was OK in 46 AB's (.283/.298/.413/.711)

Durham was pretty good (58 IP, 4-4, 36 SV, 3.10 ERA, 1.29 WHIP). He may be in FOTY running. Solid debut.

Brumbaugh was decent (54 IP, 2-1, 4.50 ERA, 1.44 WHIP). BIG improvement over previous year.

Garner was good (178.1 IP, 14-8, 15/32 QS, 3.28 ERA, 1.37 WHIP). EN is definitely his biggest limitation.

    Arnold was not good (98 IP, 2-4, 2 sv, 1 BS, 3 HLD, 6.06 ERA, 1.89 WHIP).

Well....that was a disappointing end. But, on the plus side, James White had a stellar rookie season. .333/.430/.514/.944. That's an impressive OBP, considering he's still got 19 points of DI to develop. 98 BB's to just 36 K's. Looking forward to next season.

I was just as shocked it went that way. We've faced eachother in the playoffs a lot too. 6 times since 1990.

Every playoff series finishes in 6 games or less. All 4 remaining teams should be rested and in top shape when the conference championship series start. Red Sox won their first division title in 14 seasons, when they also last made it to the World Series. Boston had the best record in the league this season, so there is hope that a return to the World Series, and a first ever trophy, could be in the cards.

I look forward to facing you in the playoffs. Hopefully we have better luck against you than we did in the regular season.

    Re: 2001 News and Highlights

Well this certainly sucks. Brooklyn is a good team but I did not imagine I'd be down 3-0. Hopefully we get a win in game 4.

Unbelievable. Great comeback in the bottom of the 9th for Brooklyn.

Congrats Hasun on the World Series win.
