    Re: Congratulations

Thank you. I’m really proud of how this team was built and I’m looking forward to trying to repeat next season.

Man, you have a team of studs. You haven't missed much in the drafts.

    Re: Congratulations

The ownership level in this league has improved to the point where I'm not seeing the quality at the end of the first round of the draft that I always have, which means maintaining Philly's dominance is getting harder and harder. My offense is going downhill, though my pitching is good to go for a few years yet. I may need to trade pitching for offense this offseason!

This is a roundabout way of saying congrats, and I expect to see a lot more titles from outside the NL east in the coming years.

    Re: Congratulations

The NL has definitely been daunting since I joined this league. Even though we won in 1948, I felt like that came out of nowhere and I just happened to catch lightning in a bottle in the playoffs.
It's an interesting league...not sure how it'll feel once the league expands to include more player-controlled teams, but I'm definitely glad the Cubs were open when I came back to the game and that I was offered the spot, as it's one of my favorite leagues.

This stretch reminds me of the Super Bowl era I grew up with where the NFC were always coming out on top. I'm sure it'll turn around eventually, but hopefully I can add this team to the record books the same way Philly and Brooklyn have before it does.
