    2105 Season

Cool to see a couple former aces from the Chieftain division inducted into the HOF on the first ballot! Robert Dennis (Youngstown) & Gary Velazquez (WU) had plenty of matchups over the years.

Since my teams sucked so badly in the playoffs, watching them slowly trickle into the HOF is the only evidence that I had a monster team once upon a time. Two in so far with Dennis & former closer Thomas Hernandez. I'm guessing I'll end up with at least one or two more (maybe?).

I wish some TX players could opt for early retirement. That shortstop McMillan is so ridiculously underpaid these days only because his EN has dropped to a level where he should be really worried for his health walking onto the field.

What better way to get excited for the new season than a Setcho Pix vs Bruce Perez matchup?

Spoiler: Perez pitched a shutout and Setcho gave up after being slapped around for five innings. Good times!

Now with the forum jinx, Setcho will pitch ten straight shutouts.

He most likely would anyway, so I'll take the chance.

Setcho promptly tosses a one-hitter against Youngstown. Ugh.

You guys are funny! Yea, Setcho is not off to the greatest start. It would have been nice for him to get that no hitter instead of a one hitter. He also got robbed of a 17 strikeout achievement that did not record due to the database issues last season.

You're right that a key to my success has been SS McMillan maintaining his range skill so long. On the flip side, his double play partner 2B Gladden lost his range skill extremely early and had to be replaced (though he is still on the team as a backup).

In other news around the league, it looks like Graterford invested wisely in 2019 and has built a solid team, especially with big time hitting. I mention this because Graterford has not been to the playoffs since 2039.

    Re: 2105 Season

So... Youngstown did a thing. With the young offense keeping us in the race, the Steel swung a trade with Alethkar for three-time Cy Young winner John Elliott. The Chieftan division just got a little more interesting.

Youngstown is five games out at the moment, but only one back in the wildcard race. The deal also will be a huge boost for NEXT season, when Mario Johnson should be ready for the bigs - creating a potentially fearsome top three along with ROY contender Robert Calder.

Yes, congrats on the big trade for a superstar pitcher. Since Youngstown already has a very good offense, this would seem to fill a big hole on the runs allowed side. Chieftain just got a lot tougher to win, now and in the future.
