High CO/EN Starting Pitcher making 7.4 mil

I'd rather have two 3.7 mil starters.

I'm not sure he's worth $3.7 mill with those stats.

If CO is his only really good attribute, I rarely touch them. Unless they come below 2M and I really need some SP. I've had a few give me low 4.00s for a couple of years, but just as likely if not more so to give me high-5.00s. Even if they don't walk many, the high-BA against will make up the difference in OBP. Not to mention the high SLG from the HR every 4-5 innings they give up.

Complaining about him must have helped. He's starting to pitch like a 4 million dollar starter at least.

what are his scouted numbers? having high CO isn't really a problem if all the other (unscouted) stats are in the mid 80s. 7.4m isn't a bargain but it's not an overpay really, plus you gotta factor in that your defense is pretty bad so he's a little better than it might seem stats-wise. 250 innings of 3-ish ERA/FIP is worth about 7 WAR (give or take depending on the league), with his EN you could probably get 300 IP out of him if he pitched more often, and in a 65m cap league the average $/WAR you need to be competitive with full allocations is only around $1m/WAR so I wouldn't say he's really dragging your team down (i.e. you need 90-95 wins, so ~45 WAR with 45m of cap space)

He's reduced his ERA by over a full point from when I complained. Different conversation when he's 4.40 ERA starter.

At 7M, should be about half that ERA to justify.
