    2038 Season discussion

If you havent played in a league with bigdbpimpin1 you have just gotten your 1st class in PSFA 101 taught by pimp. Once again he claims arguably the top pitcher. He goes hard and heavy and usually gets his man. Although newcomer ClintWilley must have gone to that class before as he gets a big bat spending an additional 4M on his man.

My Buntsville team wasnt in the market for any big ticket PSFAs but we're getting close and we've been to that class enough times to know what to do when we're ready.

    Simple Rules:

    1. Stop recruiting new owners for your half dead crappy leagues. Your efforts would be better used looking for a stable league with owners who actually care about their teams. Winning the world series in a half unowned league is not worthy of your time.

    2. If you are trading an elite item like a no1 overall pick or a superstud player, then dont take the first offer you get. Advertise your availability to the league to maximize your return. Your trade partner is not going to protect you from underselling yourself.

    3. Quoted from a thread about Monopoly gameplay: "This strategy will end up killing you in the long run. You WANT to make deals. You WANT to be easy to do business with. If players get the impression that you're always going to ask for unreasonable demands, they'll trade with other players, leaving you out of those trades, meaning you get nothing of value while they benefit. Remember, your goal in a trade should not be to screw your trading partner, but to screw anyone who isn't your trading partner. Then people will catch on and realize that if they're not going to give you fair rates, they're going to be left out in the cold, which means that you shouldn't be dealing with people who play that way either."

as ive seen across the game, we lost 3 owners. Among them was that clown who destroyed the Williamsport franchise by trading top picks in 2 straight seasons while still fielding a horrible team. I'll im doing some recruiting for the leagues I run as well as some others im in that have openings.

    Re: 2038 Season discussion

Playoff time is upon us again and there will only be one 100 game winner this season as Modena has sprung up to the top once again. but its the battle behind them that has everyone talking. Detroit has a 1/2 game lead with 1 to play, if they win they are in because they would hold tiebreaker but a lose and 2 Allegany wins and the script is flipped.

Clintwilley has that Milwaukee team turned around and takes the Uecker division (fitting) from Sam's Seattle squad, strong play by the Brew-crew down the stretch (9-1) sealed the deal.

In Kalas the division has slid backward and Buntsville is back to the playoffs with the worst division winner record, it will be a first round matchup with SBRs Osborne squad who is down from 96 wins last season & a WS win. Osborne won this series 4-2 last year.

Castiglione features to very familiar foes, Maine & Mecklenberg duel once again (Maine victorious in '37)

It's been Maine vs Meck 5 out of the last 6 years and 6 of the last 8.

Maine has not won a title in a while. Only one current player has a ring, SS James Richardson. He is a 10x all-star and should be a hall of famer once he retires, which is likely to be after this season. Hoping we can send him out on top. We have a solid starting rotation, but the bullpen was bad this year as a whole bunch of guys got worse at the same time.

I rested players a little too much, and cost myself enough wins to make a difference. also tried to hide psfa gary murphey in the closer role, but had to move him to the rotation when things looked bad. so no playoffs and a bunch of 0 exp used up
