Change minimum time for a free agent to make a decision after a new bid 8 games a day

Change minimum time for a free agent to make a decision after a new bid from 6 hours to 12 hours. Six hours isn't enough time to maker a rebid. If you've been waiting almost two days for a player you make a bid on then come back after sleeping he can already be gone. Please change this to 12 hours.

First of all, this thread should be moved to Feature Requests.

Secondly, There isn't a 6 hour or 12 hour wait time at all once a new bid is made. FAs will sign at designated times and you can put a bid in minutes before the player signs. When a bid is put in, there is no clock that starts up to delay the player signing. In highly competitive league with preseason FAs, last minute (or second) bids is the normal way of bidding.

First: I'm a member of the community. This request is therefore coming from the community. This is not a feature request as it is already in play.

Second: Your explanation is completely at odds with what is written about Free Agents.

"Free Agents will wait a minimum time before making a decision (to give other owners a chance to make counter offers). The actual time depends on the sim rate.
2 games per day leagues: Minimum 4 days from first offer, one day from most recent offer, maximum 8 days from oldest offer.
4 games per day leagues: Minimum 2 days from first offer, 12 hours from most recent offer, maximum 4 days from oldest offer.
8 games per day leagues: Minimum 1 day from first offer, 6 hours from most recent offer, maximum 2 days from oldest offer."

I have no idea what the actual facts of how this works are. All I know is what is written in the description of free agents. So there is a stark conflict between what is written and your explanation. If you are correct then who wrote the above and why? I suspect you are correct but I have no way of knowing. The actual functioning should conform to what is written. This is the rational and description of what is put forward as the functioning.

I'm not talking about preseason FA's. That is a completely different case. Of course in that case it is much more reasonable to expect what you describe.

Also if you didn't notice I didn't appreciate your attitude. I don't know if there is a description of preseason FA's or if there should be. I don't know if you have an official understanding of the functioning of preseason FA's. But that is not the case here.

I assure you, I had no attitude while typing the post. I was calm and wasn't maliciously hammering away on my keyboard. I'm sorry you took it that way.

Since I have no idea what I'm talking about (now there is some attitude), I hope you find your answers from another source.

    Moving to feature request forum.

I actually agree with you Lapu about what you would like to see changed. I assume you are meaning that if a player has been a FA for a long time (a couple weeks at least) that they should just sign immediately rather than waiting even to the next sim. I think that is reasonable.

Your attitude when someone else responds is awful. Matt knows what he is talking about. You are talking about 2 different things and the way you worded it could be taken a different way.

And yes, it belongs in feature requests because you are suggesting a change to the site. The community requests forum has a different use.
