Opening day at the Sky Dome was a barn burner between the hometown Blue Jays and the visiting White Sox.

Both starters were scorched, giving up a combined 12 runs. When the dust settled, the White Sox came out on top 16-8.

Also nice to see a full league. It's been full for a little while but before that, it was a a struggle to get full. Thanks to the people who have helped to recruit.

BACK TO BACK NO-HITTERS! Not wanting to be upstaged by fellow Padre hurler Michael Gilbert, Tim Watson tosses his 2nd no-hitter of the season against the Detroit Tigers as the Padres no-hit NY and Detroit in back-to-back games:

Glenn is truly in jeopardy of not winning the Cy Young this season. With only ... I know but his stardards are different ... a 1.72 ERA heading into his final 5 starts, he needs to be near flawless to maintain his grip on the Cy Young. I think both Padres' pitchers and Butler from the Red Sox have a legitimate shot to unseat the 9 time Cy winner.

My pitching staff is something I've never had before, four starters with ERA's south of 3 most of the season. San Diego's offense, however, might prevent my guys from picking up the win totals to take the award. I lose so many 1-0/2-0 games .. it's ridiculous. I'd still give Glenn or Butler the advantage, although Watson does have the two no-hitters if that's a factor.
