Hudson has until 3PM (4/15). After 3PM I will drop the lowest salaried player from the active roster that gets the team under the cap in a single Player for FA swap. If there were any AAA players to drop I would do that instead. LM's will never be touched in these situations.. For Hudson the unlucky player appears to be P, Christopher Knapp who will be swapped for whatever the lowest salary pitcher is on FA.
We're not going to hold an auction for Knapp but there's a couple things to think about going forward in the future:
1. How should we select who to drop? We had the Rule 60 draft process for this, but it's overkill IMO and should stay dead. More recently I think Tander and Vulp did it using some sort of AAA purge and then if necessary selectively dropped from Active to do "Least Damage" approach. I don't think it has come up with regards to Active Roster so I'm calling my shot this time with regards to salary (I don't have scouting so "Least Damage" does not work, and there all kinds of bias/subjective perils with that approach not to mention the problem of both commissioners not having scouting to make an informed decision as a theoretical possibility down the road).
2. Do we want to bring back some sort of auction process? I don't want to do it for Knapp since he's not a premium talent by any stretch, but if this was a bigger name player I think everyone deserves a fair chance.

4/15 has arrived. Knapp has been released. Some FA scrub has been assigned.
Everyone is now under. Onward and upward with 2126.
