Yeah, your conference flipped compared to the first few years. The division is looking at a very nice season bonus right now.

I do like that part of it. The only bad part is as my team has improved it seems everyone else has too so it’s all the harder to make the playoffs.

Cobb was feeling pretty good. Pitching was great, timely hitting .... and then June came along with a 9 game losing streak and 11 out of 12. Strange really...+87 tops in the league at the moment and yet only one game over .500.

    Re: 2006 Season Discussion

Here's a fun Tomato Town fact:

Innings pitched by Relievers not named Larry Batts: just north of 120
Earned Runs given up by Relievers not named Larry Batts: 124

Holy Santa Claus ****. I have 4 passable to decent BP arms and 3 flat tires. The flat tires have accounted for about 50 innings which means 70+ for the decent guys. Wow.

2006 Season in Review will be a Riches to Rags story. High off his World Series dramatics, Corey Berry starts smoking crack cocaine again. Robert King is going through a horrific divorce. Tomato Town grounds keeper figures out there is a broken pipe that has been spewing carbon monoxide into the bullpen all year long...SMH

After game 82, it is again in the situation where last place in Boer is tied with 1st place in Alpine. And now it is actually worse than that. Every team in Boer has positive run differential, with +12 being the worst. Every team in Alpine has a negative run differential, with -4 being the best. Kind of insane.

    Roshar roaring back into contention.

Back on 6/14 we were 27-38 and trending down. Seemed like another wasted year.

Since then we really started rallying, though. Won our next 5 series, then dropped one series, but have now won 5 series in a row yet again. The result is finally standing back at .500. 6 games back from the wildcard at this point.

Big struggle for me to this point has been thedivisional games: 12-23 vs division (34%) and 37-26 outside the division (59%). Hopefully with this newfound momentum, we’ll be able to carry things further when divisional games restart in late July.
