Classic start to the Sharks Season, 8-0 lead into the 9th and 3 FA acquisitions in the pen give up 9 in the 8th to blow the game. Guess thats what I get for bargain shopping. https://www.csfbl.com/game/boxscore.asp?gameid=40368454

    PGML Cuban's Sharks
    KBL Buntsville Squeeze

In the first trade of the season, Ponzey solidifies their rotation by acquiring P Harry Law from Dhaka. The team gave up a couple pieces of young pitching talent and a 2nd rounder, but we hope that payoff will be worth it. Fans have been dying to see their team to see postseason action in over 30 years and this transaction shows that management is committed to win now.

Ponzey is tied with Cargill currently and Qingdao is in the hunt with 2 games behind. We are hoping this trade will help bolster our rotation down the stretch.

So far, Ponzey's starting rotation has been quite disappointing. All but Hiram Carr and Ryan Harsh have an ERA under 4.00. We expected alot more from 5 Million dollar Frances Bruhn. In addition, former 2nd overall Villareal has had a pedestrian start to his rookie career, but we are optimistic that he will improve. Law will replace veteran John Hernandez's spot in the rotation. Hernandez has been rocked with a 5+ ERA, but boasts a 4-1 win record.

So many teams are either 36-23 or 33-26 it hurts my eyes -
Cadillac and Beverly Hills both 36-23 at the top of Buffett division
Ponzey and Cargill both 33-26 at the top of Trump division
Morthal 36-23 and the Dons 33-26 in the Gates division
    Curent Teams
Xtra Bases - Santa Fe Scorpions since 2047 - 32 seasons
    PGML - Tucson Roadrunners since 2024 - 14 seasons
    Retired Teams
MLB Mideastern - Milwaukee Brewers 2071-2083 --- 2076 World Series Champs and 4 time Runner-Up

80 games in, good time to evaluation, especially if you missed evaluating after 40 games.

Qingdao had a ton of turnover this season. On the whole, Lawerence, Morgan, Glover, and Lopez have replaced the production of those they replaced. But the holdovers have been bad:
William .732 career OPS (not declining so using career. also, including this season), .588 OPS this season
Watkins .890 OPS last season (34yo), .684 OPS this season
Linden .823 career OPS, .948 last season; .770 this season.
Segura .988 OPS last season (37yo), .785 this season; OPS stil at .400 though, slugging has dipped from .550 to .390 as rating would suggest.

There is highly likelihood that Watkins, Linden and Segura are FA next season. Linden was probably my favorite to get a CE, but with a .280 OBP, he may get to test the market.

Pitching has been overall ok, but nowhere close to what I'd want.

Yeah, I think Linden's season last year was a fluke. If you do release him though, he could be a target for us.
