Thanks! And congrats to Cardinals on a great season and team as well. Was very excited to finally break through and win one with this team that was a painful rebuild when I took over. Only two players that pre-dated my ownership were major contributors on the WS winner, which makes it very rewarding to win with players I picked / traded for. After 4 miserable years lead to a core that achieved disappointing playoff exits in 2053-2057 (some of which was deserved, including one year I forgot to re-promote everyone I was resting from AAA), Wheat State was on the cusp of a title last year up 3-1 before losing three straight to fall short. The team was better faster than I expected, but it took plenty long enough to win one--hopefully they have another one in them before age catches up!

    Re: 2058 Season discussion

Was off the forums for a bit during the playoffs, but I was still following with interest.

    1) Disappointing end to a strong season for Tulsa. We weren't as good as our 92 wins suggested (preyed on a weak division for a 46-24 record, went just 46-44 outside division), but I did expect to beat 80-win Real Camden in the opening round. Credit to wolfpac for beating Solis twice in three games, which was the difference in the series.

    2) Despite a rough playoff showing (although Game 7 was a brilliant 1 ER through 8 innings before collapsing late), Solis took home his 3rd CY award this year. He's now 1 behind Givens and 2 behind Hong.

    3) Young finishes the year with 177 walks, good for 2nd all-time and 2 shy of the league record dating to last century (1991)

    4) Congrats to tander and Wheat State on the title. Been a hell of a 7-year run for them now, and nice to finally have some hardware to show for it.
