Thread: Survey: three things that would make CSFBL better

Re: Survey: three things that would make CSFBL better

    1. More automatic managerial options, like not base stealing against a strong armed catcher, and giving free rein against a weak one.

    2. Get rid of really, really low player ratings, like, what good is a player with an endurance of (1)??? "hey, here comes gramps, he can't even raise his bat!(he's 21) Seriously, ratings that low are ridiculous, why bother?

    3. Better drafts. I see waaaay too much blue and low ratings mixed in the latest drafts. "Top" rated players have too many weak spots, like defense, endurance and contact. They don't all have to be superstars, but, they should have some basics down by the time draft day comes around.

    1) situational in game subs. Some kind of way to pinch hit weaker platoon hitters etc.
    2) free agency system.
    3) minor league stats

The best Ideas I've Seen So Far....

    1. Some kind of rule five drafting. Hoarding prospects is a HUGE problem that needs to be addressed.

    2. Better pitching. Pitching is really poor overall, and there needs to be more quality pitchers. I wouldn't mind if you took away from the batter's ratings though.

    3. Detailed managing options like player-specific stolen base aggressiveness.

    2) pinch hitters. The implementation of pinch hitters with flexiblity when to use them would be nice

    3) speed up the post season. 8 game leagues should remain at 8 games throughout post season.
For #3, I wouldn't like that, personally. I am more proactive in the postseason (especially sensitive to bullpenners and their suddenly choking) to where I move things around to survive another day.

    3. 20-80 scouting
One thing I never understood about real life scouting is the 20-80 system. wish someone would explain why, seems 0-100 (or similar variation would indeed be simpler)

Setting defensive players for each starting pitcher

Setting parameters for what relievers are used and when

    Player specific baserunning settings
