He is basically breaking even or slightly in the red because he wants the game to stay free. This is basically his side project, thus why it gets less attention and needs volunteers to help manage.

I been saying this for years, he can open up a WHOLE line of additional income, BY ALLOWING us owners who are willing to pay a yearly fee of say $25 for an advertisement free experience. Other sites i used in the past did this.

Just an idea outside of the box.

Have you done the analysis to know if that is making more money than they would make for the more active owners through ads? Or do you know that he hasn't done it? That may end up being worse for cashflow but add to the list of things that need to be maintained.

No, I am played a EURO Basketball game for a long time, dude ran into server issues, advertisements basically make him break even. So, he decided to alter the site a bit and if you wanted to pay a small fee per year, it allowed your Academy to not have ads, also players were then given faces and more stats were available. I am not an IT guy nor am I one who pretends to be one, but if the person running it is breaking even, why not try to open up another avenue of income like I mentioned if it is deemed possible then add a special feature or two to teams who do it.

From what iv heard in the past year or so is that it would create a need for two sites and it would be closer to $60/year so no one was interested.

The issue is leadership tends to disappear or input sporadically at best.

Admittedly, I do put the MR I want used the most in the MR2 spot, and he seems to get used more than the MR1 spot 90 percent of the time. Never had too much problem with SU spots, except for the SU2 sometimes never ever getting used, lots of times I put my 2nd weakest reliever there-the one negative with that is the rare time he does gets used it is high leverage time.

Pre-season FAs, haven't been too unwieldy in the league that uses them, been a couple of seasons where virtually all were dog-crap.
