    Tanner has done something I am pretty sure rare in the modern game. In just 280 starts, he has surpassed 3000k for his career. He is just 28 years old.

    Just not sure how he compares...

    Just doing some eyeball math, looks like he didn't get there until 29. Got to be able to run 'em pretty hard to get there that early.

    I currently have a guy with approx. 2100 Ks in 1528 IP (that is about that age), but he was older in his draft class, so he started. He did win the CYA in his first 2 seasons in the league, and has had 300 Ks in all but his rookie year. Should have won a 3rd in his 4th year, but the voters must have been tired of his name.

    He is by far my best pitcher ever (the only SP I ever had with more than 1 under-2.00 ERA season)
