Ok Grimm, I realize that about 30 years ago the Tigers traded John Smoltz to the Braves, and we know how that worked out....but for revenge was it really necessary for your MLB Classic Tigers to just sweep my Braves in 3 games by a combined score of 39-3???

    Yes, yes it is...
We made a slight lineup change 14 games ago swapping the #2 and #6 guys because the #2 guy just didn't have a good enough obp. Since then we've gone 13-1, and 17-1 total since we already had a 4 game streak going. The team really is exceeding my expectations at this point.

    Re: 2130 season discussion

The fact that my Royals are back in the playoffs is astonishing. I purged the team before the season to allow for full scouting. After 4/1 the team brought back some old faces, Ivory Ellison isnt what he once was but still managed to have a .729 OBP while guys like Landon Williamson & Gary Sanchez really didnt pan out. But something went right because the team finished 12 games over .500 in a division that was pretty tightly played.

The obvious highlights were Anthony Albert's quest for his 3rd CY while posting a 23-3 record, 1.47 ERA & 290 Ks. In 8 seasons he's 161-46 w/ 2333 Ks & and ERA of 1.74. Mitch Roark has 2087 hits through 9 seasons with KC and posted his highest BA of .372 this season. He also 700+ SBs while scoring 900+ runs and plays and 8.03 RA 2B.

Obviously Seattle is loaded and has a 2-0 lead in the series already but we'll keep throwing Albert at them every chance we can to see if we cant steal a win.

well we managed to steal 2 but that Champion/Albert matchup just isnt fair with my beleaguered offense. Good luck to all the rest of the way
