    Silver Slugger Award

I would like to see the Silver Slugger Award
I have had some players that had good season
But,they did not win the MVP award and they didn't become All-Stars
At least this way, they would be rewarded for having a good season
Plus just 1 more award to be added
    I would like to hear
    What other people think?

    Re: Silver Slugger Award

For those who are curious, the best ever "Silver Slugger" offensive season was by Paul Haupt (https://www.csfbl.com/player/view.asp?playerid=2549128). Check out his 2038 season: .447 AVG with 62 HRs in 152 games. Haupt finished his career with 998 home runs. That must have been a painful retirement.

There have been 55 CSFBLers with 1,000+ HRs in their career. The most in a career is by Jerry Weeks (https://www.csfbl.com/player/view.asp?playerid=4451972), who is still active at 42 years old.

Speaking of HR hitters, the worst batting average for a 40+ HR in a season player? Joseph McCord (https://www.csfbl.com/player/view.asp?playerid=3551202), who hit 41 HRs while batting .168 in his 1953 season. His career AVG was .237, so he wasn't as bad as he seemed that season.

One player in the 400+ HR club has a career AVG below .200: Reginald Burk (https://www.csfbl.com/player/view.asp?playerid=2465526), who hit 415 HRs while batting .199. And, no, he never won a Silver Slugger.

Thank you. Now, I'll have to take the time to check out all the new historic awards for my teams.

This is awesome, thank you Brian!

Just checked it out, looks like in one of my leagues a guy got traded halfway through the season and ended up winning the Silver Slugger twice in the same year, once for each team!

I love it. Only quibble: Players are showing as having won SS awards for positions they would LATER switch to. Example: Travis Foerster shows as winning SS for CF in 2108, but he was a SS in 2108.

Nice! Good to see that it's also retroactive to past seasons.
