I actually didn't see this thread until doandiggy posted I could be making a CSFBL comeback on November 3, 2020, but it's unlikely to be sooner.

I still don't understand tying participation in a baseball game to politics. If the Dems lose again, you'd go eight years without playing?

    Just come back already.

Yes, I could easily see myself going 8 years without playing because I was going through the CSFBL motions during the entire Obama presidency. CSFBL has also been more about the community for me since I started being truly active on the forums in August 2004 and my game activity peaked around mid 2006 before I even won a World Series in CSFBL.

I still don't have a great desire to actually manage a CSFBL team and doubt I ever will until the game system is radically redesigned. The only reasons I made such a ridiculous link were due to the fact that I was equally fine playing or not playing and that the I viewed the 2016 election as extremely important for the United States and wanted to make my feelings abundantly clear.

I can clue you in a little there, that isn't going to happen. So I don't see what the harm would be in just trying one team, at least for a little while, in a league like this with a lot of history and a lot of guys who want you back. You might surprise yourself and become more engaged than simply feeling like you are going through the motions. And if you don't surprise yourself just walk away again.
