    Re: NHL thread

Yo, if the Canadians advance, Colorado gonna be one happy team. Breeze on through to the Stanley Cup. Since they reseed based on points in the semis, and I dont see Vegas beating them now that theyre up 2-0. Tampa was tied for 8th in points, and yet, they would appear to be the favorites to win the Cup at this point. I think the series vs Carolina goes 7 games though, Carolina has a good young team. In the games Tampa has won they've allowed: 4, 1, 2, 0, 1 and 0 goals. Thats pretty great, now look at Colorado: 1, 3, 1, 2, 1 and 2 goals allowed. While Grubauer has no shutouts, hes 6-0 these playoffs, and Vasilevsky has been lit up a couple times. Gonna be interesting, Vasilevsky can steal one for ya, but can get lit up, while Grubauer is steady as she goes great.

Let's hope so. It would be nice if that series ends before the suspension is over. A really weird hit, and gross to see his teammates and coach talk about him trying to prevent Evans from scoring (which he could have if he had tried to play hockey instead of trying to injure an opponent).

It helps that they didn't have to exert themselves in the regular season to win their bunny division.

Plus most of the team got a 2 week covid vacation, including Grubauer. And to top it off they are playing the fewest games these playoffs, theyll be fresh.

The biggest threat to the Avalanche may be that Kadri will return eventually. If not for a dumb penalty by Sam Bennett, the Panthers may very well have beaten Tampa. When Kadri comes back and takes the head off the next guy, Colorado may be playing an opponent good enough to make that hurt.

The jets were trying to downplay their guys hit, and at least we dont expect him to turn into kadri and be a hazard to everyones health... terrible play though

Players who are not a hazard to everyone's health would not make those kind of choices. It was not just a bad hit, it was a bad hockey decision. That should not be encouraged by a coach.

Big mistake by Finland to not take care of business the first time around.

Well Montreal sweeps. Tampa could advance tomorrow night. The Islanders have Boston on the brink (sucks for Tavares). And Colorado has forgotten how to score, so now Vegas has all the momentum in their series. I still think Colorado wins that one, Tampa winning is inevitable, but the Islanders over Boston is a surprise.
