Well we got blown out by Chattanooga. Looked like a close game in the first half but David Brown got into foul trouble and someone put a lid on our basket in the second half. Tough to go out like that. Good luck Vulp.

And we out-rebounded you. Be careful when you say we "lack the height to compete with you seriously on the glass". Also, The "lid" on your basket is named Hines and Parker, who combined for 7 blocks. Their backups added 1 more each. Chattanooga played like the team with the size advantage today.

L31 - Blew out #93 101-74. This team looks good. Sites stuffed the box score with 15/6/9/4/2, but had 4 TO's. Price got another SOTG mention with 32/14/2/1/2 on 12-18 shooting, including 3-4 from 3.

L34 - As AS mentioned, pulled off the big first round upset, convincingly. Unfortunately, it doesn't get any easier for us, as 18-1, #11 Topeka is up next. But, this team can beat anyone on a good day. And we'll need a good day. Bowling Green, who upset us in the CT final, got plowed by Miroku, 98-55.

L37 - Didn't play very well, but were up against a weak team who played even worse, leading to a 74-46 win over #201.

L34 addendum: In the NTT region 3, the top 2 seeds both lost, as well as 5, 6 and 8. This bracket just got interesting. If we can get past the 4 seed, we'll face the 16/9 winner.

Yeah, we did get outrebounded but I think a big part of that was David Brown fouling out early in the second half.
Towns had 5 blocks to pace all rim protectors, and 14 boards.
I think the big win for you was actually at the guard position. Mancuso was held to a season low 2 assists, went 6 of 18 from the floor (2nd worst this season and 4 worst of his career), and had an 8.8 GameScore. With him being ice cold and Brown fouling out we just had no scoring punch and lost our board advantage.

Not saying Chattanooga wasn't a good enough team to beat us (clearly they were). Just very dissapointed in ablowout.

L34 Worcester beat Scottsdale 106-104 in 3 overtimes in the first round of the NTT, pulling off the minor 10-7 upset.
We were down 4 with 29 seconds in regulation. Michael Eppinger hit a 3 with 3 seconds left to send it to OT.
In the third OT, Harley Dixon, who was 1-9 from the field up to that point, hit the game-winner as time expired.
Our best player, Logan Lesage, fouled out and played only 21 minutes.
Eppinger scored 31 on 31 shots. Pryce Duncan had 18 points and 21 rebounds in 50 minutes.

I think we found the right style to go with our skills. Every one of my starters has G shooting, G defense, G INT and G ATH. Seems like the ideal skillset to run fast MTM, and that has really worked for us. We can disrupt opponents rhythm.

Good luck against Topeka, Vulp. Impressive upset win!

Track, Lastplace, anyates, mr. hamburger, and myself all advance. Only CSFBL losers in first round are Andrelton in the surprise upset by Vulp and marsupial going down as a 4-seed. Oracle also lost, but as a 15-seed not unexpected.

Looking forward to Round of 32 action tomorrow!

Couldn't pull off the second upset. Played them close, though, losing by 11. Stats were fairly even except their impressive 17 blocked shots which led directly to our poor shooting. They start a 6-8 SG who does not score, so I'm assuming he's a defensive stopper, and he did his job, holding Strong to 7-24 shooting. They're strategy seems to be setting their SG and SF to 1/1 shooting, and having the other 3 do all the scoring Their SG and SF each attempted only one shot (both missed). Meanwhile their bSG scored 20 in 17.7 minutes. Hines was the star for us with a line of 27/14/0/1/2 on 12-20 shooting.

In L31, we beat #198 by only 9. Somewhat reassuring is that star PF Price only played 20 mins due to foul trouble, same with SG Yancy. Encouraging was being led by FR SF Butler who had 20/4/0/3/2 on 7-9 shooting.

AS got some revenge against me in L37. My star C fouled out after 8.5 minutes, then my bC fouled out after 26 minutes, and my PF got into foul trouble and only played 21 minutes, which means I had a couple of 6-4 guys playing PF and C for much of the game. Yeah, not gonna work. This team needs more size. Also, I wish the subs were more intuitive, so it could slide my 6-8 SF up to PF or C instead of putting a 6-4 bPF in at C. This is why size is a primary target for me in recruiting here.

Better substitution logic or settings is something I'd also really like to see. It has been brought up on the DTL forums a couple of times so possibly it's something that could happen down the road.

Worcester took out 2-seed Carlsbad to get to the sweet 16. Looks like 4 of us made it.
