Yeah, sad as it seems, I felt only losing to you by 30 was a moral victory, lol.

    L31 rollover preview:
I have 1 mediocre clear lead, so getting a good class is entirely dependent on winning ties. Fingers crossed.

    Ties:

Jacob Emberton (21), 6-2: F scout says G+EEFGE (+8). HS Stats (SF): 16.3/5.3/4.1/1.1/.5/1.3. Obviously out of position. Hoping to upgrade my PG spot with this guy. 5-way tie. Prefs: P+N+E. Just wants to play. Hard to guess who leads on impact. Hopefully he sees himself as a PG and recognizes my need there, rather than seeing himself as a SG going up against starter Hansberry and +6 bSG Yancy. Probably don't win him, though.

Bryan Thomas (5), 6-6: G scout says EE+E-G-EF (+9). HS stats (SF): 29.1/5.4/2/1.1/.8/1.1. I have literally no one to play SF next season, but wouldn't it be great to plug that hole with a +9 stud? 10-way tie. Prefs: FP-E. Also just wants to play. My need is as great as anyone, so I guess I have a shot, but ony around a 10% shot.

    CL:
Brendan Wimbish, 6-4: F scout says F+EF-F+GN+ (+3/-2). HS stats (PG): 19/3.7/5.3/1.3/.2/4.1. Would look like a decent PG if it weren't for that 4.1 TO/game. Seems like a decent scorer, and is a good defender, so would get a shot at SF.

    W/3 or 12 chances:

Garrett Keeler, 6-2: E scout says G-G+GE-FF (+5). HS stats (SG): 15/3.7/3.2/1.3/.2/1.5. Don't really need another good but not great 6-2 guy, but he looks like a possibility at PG at least. 6 behind the leader, and I'm maxing him this last week.

Terrance Renteria, 6-7: P scout says G+F-G+G-PN (+3/-3). HS stats (PF): 13.6/7.7/2/1.2/.7/1. Only player with any size I have a shot at. Could also potentially play SF. Currently 6 behind leader, maxing him this week.

Obviously Thomas is my big hope, but least likely. I think my team would (finally) take the next step with him aboard.

If you've got an EXH open, all mine are open. OOC are spoken for in a L31 tourney though.

Maxing Renteria, on the last day, got him to CL, so he and Wimbush are CL's for me now. Ideal class would be Thomas, Emberton and Renteria.

    Re: Official DriveTheLane Thread

LA gave #1 Burbank a run but lost by 8. Can't complain too much about that.

L31 Eugene is going to bring in some short guys.
#30 Blake Farley 6-7, P scouted +2ish. 18.2/10.3/2.4/1.1/0.9/0.7. Those stats look better than +2. 4-way tie is tough to predict. Our only chance to avoid a 3-guard recruiting class so we are giving him highest PPs.
Preston Hope 6-1, F scouted +3 or maybe 4. 19.6/3.6/5.7/1.7/0.2/1.8. Looks like a solid scoring PG with decent defense which would make him a likely starter next year as we look to upgrade at PG. But his E impact might mean we lose the 1/1 tie.
Daniel Richardson 6-1, F scouted +4. 17.7/3.4/5.6/1.5/0.3/2.3. Safety net guy ended up 1/1 tie. Debating whether to put PPs on him.
Angel Martucci 6-2, F scouted +2ish. 22.2/3.4/2.6/1.1/0.4/1.0. SG in HS but E hands and a 4.0 GPA makes me think he could play either guard spot. Clear lead.
Jacob Baker 6-2, F scouted +4. 18.1/3.0/5.8/0.9/0.3/2.2. Low GPA may mean he moves to SG. Clear lead.
Harrison Harris 6-1, G scouted +2 or maybe 3. 8.7/3.4/9.5/1.2/0.0/2.2. Pure passing PG, might be an upgrade on our current pass-first PG. Clear lead.

I am wary of putting PPs on too many guys because our current best player was a walkon, Zane Schultz, who is +6 now entering his senior year.

    Yeah I got a +6 SG as a walk-on last season.

PSA: Put PP's on good guys that you are W12 on, unless they're in a huge tie. If one other team has a CL on the player, but land other higher priority guys, then they fall to you. I've gotten a couple of guys this way, including my current bPG (and former starting PG) Ian Ausley.

I put 1 PP on 35 guys to start with to get them on my list. Then I adjust from there and only put more on my top targets the last week. It hasn't affected my walk-ons at all as I've gotten at least one walk on nearly every year, some good, some not so good.

Got my CL's and a walk-on, worst case scenario. But let's have a look:

Brendan Wimish, 6-4: F scout said F+EF-F+GN+ (+3/-2). Actual: GGFGEF (+5). A pleasant surprise, and I guy I can give a shot to for the SF spot.

Terrance Renteria, 6-7: P scout said G+F-G+G-PN (+3/-3). Actual: GGGFNP (+3/-3). Pretty much as scouted. Will battle with Wimbish for starting SF job, and I will look to find a better guy in recruiting, again.

    Walkon:
Jamar Swartz, 6-7: FFEPGF (+3/-1). HAD to be a tallish P rebounder. HS Stats (C): 12/10.4/3.3/.7/1.3/.7 on 51/60/66 shooting (55.4 TS). Stats hint he's actually a competent rebounder, so he'll likely be at bPF unless he wins the SF job. Swartz, btw, is a guy I recruited early, but dropped out on. I spent 28 on him (minimum to be considered), and the leader spent 115, with 2 W3 and 5 w12. That 60% from 3 was with only .7 attempts/game, so taking that with a grain of salt. I'll still try him out at SF, though.

Either Swartz or Renteria, whoever isn't SF, will be bPF. Neither is a good rebounder.

Well, this class failed to improve my team as these guys probably top out as matching Thomas's output who graduated. I may experiment with a 3 guard lineup since my bSG Yancy is better than any of my SF options.

    Rated at #98 class (80/108).
