    Re: Official DriveTheLane Thread

L34---After a first round win in the NTT and as an 8 seed, we took on the 1 seed #4 ranked Myrtle Beach. We lost 100-99 in OT and had our chances. At the half it was close, we had a one point advantage. Starting the 4th period we had grown the lead to 10 and pretty much held it til the 4 min mark. With 28 seconds left in regulation, they pulled with in one with a mid range two. Myrtle Beach then promptly fouls and my PG Alexander knock down both free throws to put us back up by three. Myrtle beach goes down and gets a layup with 14 seconds left to cut the lead once again to one. Then, my SG Craig is fouled, and guess what? He misses both free throws. However, my PF Sartor (an exc shooting walk on by the way) comes up with an offensive rebound and is promptly fouled. Sartor goes on to make both free throws. Myrtle Beach gets the ball with 9 seconds to go, drives the court and make a 3 to tie it with 1 second left. So OT we go. OT was a back and forth battle. We took a one point lead with 17 seconds to go with a Jesus McNeil lay up. Defense could not hold however and they get a mid range 2 with 6 seconds to play. We throw up a desparation heave at the buzzer and loose by one. It actually says despearation heave. LOL This team was pretty solid this year. We actually moved up the rankiings with this loss. Had we pulled off the win, we would have played Matthew's Manasses team. Recruiting is looking better as the season goes on. My three ties have dropped down to 2 to 3 team ties, and I like my chances on a few of them. I was also able to secure 2 clear leads so I have some backup options.

L37---Cannot find the correct line up for this team and we are running out of time. I believe we are better than the 109 ranking but we are too inconsisitant. We are gonna have to win the conference tourney to get in the NTT. The last couple games, I decided to bench my 3 time all conference PG Espinosa for a FR Haveman that has more potential to score. The second benched game, Espinosa comes off the bench and scores 21, has his best game of the year in just 24 minutes.

    Re: Official DriveTheLane Thread

L37 Recruiting Update: We are dropping out of the Luis Delgado contest. The big tie and the bad preferences because we're so good at winning make it a rough sell.

Will be sticking around with Miroku for Tanner Drolet. He's taller than any player we have and even though I'd expect Miroku to be the favorite, at just a two way tie we've probably got a reasonable enough shot.

Also staying on Arthur Price. Our DTT berth from two seasons ago probably make it difficult but his Impact and Win are close enough together that I might be able to sneak in and steal him.

We have a few guys that we have leads on that aren't maxes so we hope to build a nice safety net. With all our five starters returning next year, we really just need some big man depth to prepare to fill in for the holes we will have in two years when everyone above 6'9" will be gone.

    Another small League 37 update:

Burbank leads the conference in defensive scoring!

We rank 242nd in the league. Our conference holds 8 of the bottom 15 spots in defense right now. We also hold 8 of the top 40 spots in offensive scoring so at least our games are all fun to watch!

DTL gave me wins in all 3 leagues for my birthday. How nice.

L31 - We climb to 2-1, which might be our first ever winning record. Beat #216 67-64. Hard to guess this team. Wins over #220 by 9, #115 by 4 and #216 by 3. Losses to #45 by only 9 and to #131 by 3 in 3OT.

Bad news is, 5 of the 7 recruits we spent on are in the top 65.

L34 - beat #94, 78-74. Gregory had one of his better games (15/8/7/0/1). Benjamin Robinson made 1st team AA. Season: 22.9/3.6/4/2.1/.5

L37 - beat non-conference #50 101-91. We won every facet but steals and TO's. Ivy and Kendall carried the day (Ivy: 30/6/5/0/1, #18 SOTG, Kendall: 24/5/3/2). Wilhelm was limited by fouls, but his presumed successor at PG, Poisson, had 10 assists in 21 minutes of relief work (1 TO).

L34 Worcester loses again in the NTT, this time by 1 point in overtime after Gregory Harris (43 points, 10 rebounds) misses a layup with a few seconds to go in regulation. Chalk this one up to allowing too many offensive rebounds and 18 turnovers. Recruiting looking solid with 2 clear leads, one 0/1, two 1/1s and a 3/3 (Brady Chaney).

L37 LA wins our fifth straight behind 23&6 from SF Jeremy Phillips. Up to #32 with a tough final week of conference play coming up. Recruiting looks good as we just pulled off a clear lead on #48 Brendon Fontenot (PG) and have a 0/1, 1/1, 1/1 and 2/2, plus another guy or two we can pick off from the net. Graduating a lot of senior talent so need to land some starting-quality players.

L31 Eugene doesn't get an update until they start being interesting. Maybe next season.

L34 - Utica is hoping to find better form in the LLL bracket of the NTT. In more positive news, 6'7" C Adam Frye who played PG last year made the 2nd team all-conference and 5th team all-league teams. I will be sad to see him graduate as he is obviously an extremely versatile player.
