I suggest renaming Steven Stone to Heavy Johnson. He had a career average of .357. batted left and threw right. Stone's size of 6' 6" , 281 lbs. also suits the name.

Hey Daddy - thanks for the suggestion, but "Heavy" has already been in NLT, spending his whole career with the Louisville Buckeyes and making the Hall of Fame in 1994.

Looks like Stone will be the only rename this year though, I'll have a look through the tribute list and propose a rename when I get some time.

no one else liked Thomas Bartz as much as I did? Pure hitter can't really go wrong

I was on the fence about Bartz - his offensive numbers should come up good, although it would have been good to have seen a little more DI. Also, at 21 already he might not reach his potential. But it was the defense that put me off in the end. I can't see which position he'll end up playing, and for a tribute rename that puts me off - maybe it shouldn't but especially as I propose the renames I end up not knowing who to put forward!

Re: Tribute rename vote for 2011 draft

Steven Stone was an interesting rename to look for, with his 6'6"/281lb frame, and elite defense in the corner outfield, but I think I've found just the guy...

    Theodore "Ted" Strong:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Strong
    https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=strong000ted

6'6", 210 lbs, batted switch (as opposed to Stone's pure lefty) but both throw right. Strong had a career average over .300, and whilst his defense was good enough to play any position on the field he played a lot of corner-outfield later in his career.

Fun fact: Strong also played on the original Harlem Globetrotters team!

Any objections/better suggestions, post them this week - otherwise I'll rename next Monday.
