    Oldest ROY?

Alfred Wilson flew under the radar, considered to be a 4A player for many years. He finally found a team desperate for a spark to give him a shot. The spark wasn't enough to turn the team around, but it was enough to earn the 28 year old Rookie of the Year honors. Is he the oldest ROY?

My personal oldest was my first. when I first started, age 27, though the previous (or maybe it was unowned all that time) had him rotting on the bench with only 64 ABs in 5 years. A weak-RA 3B with immense power, I quickly put him in at 1B in place of some old guy that hadn't been good in 2-3 years. Ended up hitting 30 HRs in 310 ABs to win the ROY. The first of 10 straight 30 HR season (with streaks of 7 straight 40 HR seasons, and 3 straight 50 HRs seasons mixed into that streak). I got him to exactly 500 HR career HRs despite an abbreviated 12 year career. (he was pretty bad the last 2 years, but the team was bad anyway, led the team in RBIs his last year despite hitting only .208 with 25 HRs-which should give an indication of the team's success)

I just can't look its killing me
    And taking control
Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
    Swimming through sick lullabies
    Choking on your alibis
But it's just the price I pay
    Destiny is calling me
    Open up my eager eyes
    Cause I'm Mr Brightside

Wow, 40 games at a .602 OPS. Was he the ONLY rookie that year?

RttB has a different format than a lot of csfbl leagues, so this admittedly should be an asterisk. The division is between college and MLB, with MLB teams drafting college players. Often, MLB doesnt have RoYs, so it's a dubious distinction. It basically means that a player doesn't get drafted for ncaa play, and sits in FA until he's 25 or older, and an MLB team has a hole that needs to be filled.

I didn't realize it was RTTB. I used to be in RTTB so I get it.
