Biggiest Miss scout in CSFBL History?

This Pitcher is still Active in CARL, but I had the honor of having him handed to me on a silver platter at #28 in Round 2 in the 2016 CARL Draft, best Auto I ever had and part of my foundation on a WS Championship Run in 2024...I Present to you Fred Satterfield a career 159-68 record as a Grand Turk Parrot, 76 CGs 25 Shutouts, 2570 Ks in 2,194 IP. Satterfeld on draft day, was seen as a average, to slight above average 4 type P, but when he was Autoed to me I saw something nobody saw on Draft Day. his FI/SY combo was in the 80s and high 90s for SY...I knew, I had something special. He took CARL by storm in 2021, winning ROY and just missing out on the CY Award that year..hes been a stud ever since. Luke_Ts had a crush on him since hes been in league. Sadly for me, he wont retire a career Parrot as my club got old, but Satterfield is a ACE, I'll always remember. hs HOF chance? 99% as of the time of this post. Is this, the baggiest miss scout in all of CSFBL?

It would be hard to say without knowing what his #'s looked like on the draft list.

Re: Biggiest Miss scout in CSFBL History?

It's a good thing I keep all draft lists with ratings at the time of the draft in excel files. Here's what Satterfield looked like as a potential draftee. I had full FOA, so these numbers are 5/10 extraps.

    Age: 20
    PO: 70/73
    FI: 67/74
    CO: 39/48
    SY: 70/79
    HR: 44/45
    RA: 41/32
    GL: 28/51
    AR: 35/44
    EN: 55/50

So the EN was a mis-scout along with his RA. But I see nothing here to suggest that his big 4 ratings are going to jump up 10-20 pts and he's destined to become a HOF ace. Definitely the strangest player variance I've seen.

Re: Biggiest Miss scout in CSFBL History?

There was a player in CardsClubhouse, Will Stokes, who got drafted by a good owner at #4, which really surprised me. He said that he took him to get someone who could be brought up right away and be usable.

Here is what I saw with good scouting:
    13 73 49 77 44 45 28 56 57
    20 74 56 86 78 90 39 63 72

Here is what he ended up being (still active so just going by the maxes from the history tab):
    14 85 54 96 69 91 53 70 78

No sign of a misscout from my scouting, but went from a usable back end starter to a guy who was an ace for a while. Had he not been as developed as he was, he would have likely fallen way down the draft as well.
