    Oldest player

Hi, I looked and did not see this asked before. Who was the oldest player in CSFBL history to appear in a game and who had longest playing career? (the two may not belong to same player)

I don't know if I've seen any higher than this on either count.

He was before the modern era, so...before I even joined CSFBL. That guy is second in career wins.

I'd love it if this guy would last as long...he'd probably catch up.

Oldest I've had is 43 (well I cut him in the spring that he was 43, so he technically last played at 42). A long-time closer, his last year and a half, he was a rarely used SU2 with an ERA around 6.00. Made the Hall. (something like 460 career saves)

I don't think I've ever been past 42. Bradley Withrow of the Wichita Wingnuts is that old this year, the league leader in career wins, but I doubt he stays another year. I'm not releasing him.

I had a guy make his first all-star appearance at age 41. I'll have to dig him up and remind myself who that was.

Probably was my oldest player, too.

CSFBL saves leader Leonard McClung made it to 49.

I had a 45 year old on a newly created team once, other than that my highest is 42 or 43.

I think I had a 43-year old on a created team, come to think of it, he had crap ratings, so he was essentially one of the first FAs in the league.
