    Re: 2106 Season Discussion

I'm 1-6 in the WS across my teams this year, and it's rapidly looking like it's going to become 1-7. Pitching has been fine, but our bats are absolutely silent through 3 games.

Englert (7), Noonkester (1) and Gilbert (1) combine to no-hit OTA in game 3. It's the second no-hitter duck has thrown in the playoffs this year. This was a dual no-hitter through 6.5 innings.

Englert might be the GOAT if he had 20 more points of EN.

Congrats to Vulp. Only allowing 9 runs in 4 games sounds good, but only scoring 4 runs just isn't going to work.

I certainly wasn't expecting that. I actually forgot to set my pitching which is why Ortega (my SP3) went in 1 and 4, but he acted like an ace all post-season. (4-2, 2.72 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 5/6 QS, no-hitter).

I don't know what it is, but I have more playoff luck in this league than any other. I'm calling it what it is, I have much worse results with much stronger teams against much weaker opponents in other leagues. I'm flat out lucky. I am the anti-Avid. 2nd straight year I had a team struggling to stay at .500 in the first couple of months wind up going all the way.

It is somewhat anti-climactic when the WS clinching run is scored in the bottom of the 2nd inning in game 4.
