    Re: 2003 Trade Thread

Interested in getting a catcher and maybe a SP. I have pick 28 this year to deal and these guys:

    Johnson, Paul 25 1b 1.634m 47 38 67 87 40 69 61 83 33 +6 big lefty bat maxed out except cn/sp/en. hits homers and plays a good 1b for a low salary and young.

    Wright, Jason 22 LF 1.733m 0exp 43 58/74 85 71 80 54 7 40 43 -4 maxed except cn/ra/en. good bat, but doesnt play enough defense for me. best 2nd offered gets him

Petersen, James 30 3b 1.038m 59 70 69 26 69 97 86 79 82 -4 maxed except di/sp. monster defender at 3b. hits enough to not worry about sudden retirement. plays every game. i have his replacement ready NEXT year, but willpull trigger this year for a 1st.

Barnes, Jason 32 SP 1.757m 66 86 67 55 72en maxed same ratings last two seasons. i think the truth is in the middle: 3.50era/1.30whip guy who gives you about 10-15 xraa/lwts goot mid rotation guy

Say, Nicholas 29 SP 1.512m 63 86 65 54 74en still growing po/sy/en notice he has same ratings as Barnes adn 3 years younger, but cant get teh results? baffles me.

Brady, Kevin 21 C 900k 0 exp 41/83 69/88 48/49 73/76 39/39 61/64 49/74 72/72 65/71 +6 1 flip shows he'll max everything but DI in two flips. Di only moved 4 pts and gap is still 42. but with the split, will be a good side of platoon catcher. best 2nd gets him

Coleman, Pedro 1b 22 2.754m 0 exp 64/95 66 75 48/69 64 64 100 58 62/65 +5 another big split lefty with slow moving DI. averages 5pts a flip, puts him at 80 in 4 flips. SL moves at 7pts a flip, so 3 flips. Wouldnt care about the slowness if he cost half as much. my frugality is your gain for a pick in the 20's

Join the Remake Leagues! No Experience Necessary.

    Simple Rules:

    1. Stop recruiting new owners for your half dead crappy leagues. Your efforts would be better used looking for a stable league with owners who actually care about their teams. Winning the world series in a half unowned league is not worthy of your time.

    2. If you are trading an elite item like a no1 overall pick or a superstud player, then dont take the first offer you get. Advertise your availability to the league to maximize your return. Your trade partner is not going to protect you from underselling yourself.

    3. Quoted from a thread about Monopoly gameplay: "This strategy will end up killing you in the long run. You WANT to make deals. You WANT to be easy to do business with. If players get the impression that you're always going to ask for unreasonable demands, they'll trade with other players, leaving you out of those trades, meaning you get nothing of value while they benefit. Remember, your goal in a trade should not be to screw your trading partner, but to screw anyone who isn't your trading partner. Then people will catch on and realize that if they're not going to give you fair rates, they're going to be left out in the cold, which means that you shouldn't be dealing with people who play that way either."

    Re: 2003 Trade Thread

I need to move couple solid bats. Either for pitching, LM players or picks.

    C Carlos Waters a 30 hr/yr guy with about an .800 OPS

3rd Brandon Richardson 40 hr/ yr guy. no OBA, but solid defense

3rd Chad Setzer an above average player with average defense

I can pair any of these bats with a pitcher
William Torres - solid pitcher with 3.50 ERA / yr average and 1.35 WHIP
David Starns - solid PO pitcher. Had a off year last season, but continues to throw 3.50 ERA average
Thomas Suazo - solid pitcher that could be used as a starter and a damn good one too with his 96SY
