I don't know if the previous owner released his good players or what. Last year, they had the best record in the league.

Welcome, DaveW, to the Lawn! Pull up a chair and have a cold one on us. Good luck on getting the Ecliptics back on track. Just thinking you might be up to the task and a little fearful that the rest of us will be chasing you soon enough!

    Regards, 'Nod.

It looks like the season started and then there was a ton of drops and adds. I have to imagine that the former owner participated in the draft, but I would have hoped that someone better would have been available at the bottom of the first round.

    Ah well, life goes on

No, he didn't participate in the draft, just got the highest salary available at the time.

Ricky Hilario at $343k? The next five players taken each had salaries above his.... Heck, there were four million dollar players selected in the third round....

He was pick #24, so already at the end of the first round.

Don't look at the draft results without realizing there were a number of mistakes which I had to correct which make it look bad. By looking at the forum draft thread, he got William Graham in the 1st round, Ricky Hilario in the 2nd round and Tracy Alexander in the 3rd.

Thanks for clarifying. Still the team is severely messed up due to mismanagement. Who in their right might brings up teens to fill spots in the active roster so they can't develop, and drops a great 26 year old CF like Ronnie Valenzuela just for having a few bad games at the plate? It boggles the mind.

I can't wait to get some scouting just to see exactly how hosed this team really is. All I'm saying is that even with high picks for 3-5 years, this might be a sub .500 team for many years to come.

Does this league still use pitching rotation restrictions?

Yes, we do still use pitching restrictions. 5 starters until September 1, then 4 starters.
